Anime/Movies hates shinies?

Yeah I was wondering why there are less interest for shiny pokemons in the series or in the movies

We hardly see them, and when see it, no character is surprised by it nor shows any interest to them. For example, we got to see the shiny raikou, entei and suicune but hardly any explanation as to why and no1 even mentioned that they were shinies =/

And we have trainers, breeders, designers, rangers and so many other pokemon occupations but no shiny hunters?

What do u guys think?
PS: I haven't watched the anime at all lately so correct me if Im wrong!

Because Shinies are supposed to be incredibly rare to find, so that's why there haven't been many seen in the Anime.

Yeah, they're not as rare now as they were back in the day, but they're supposed to be incredibly rare.

I don't know. It's not like I make the shows, I'm just putting in my opinion.

Shinies don't do anything. Assigning fake values to pokemon that have worse IVs and don't get a different bonus besides a colour swap seems pretty pointless. When I was 13 I was obsessed with them, now not so much.

example conversation with a friend that doesn't play pokemon:

ME: dude I just caught a SHINY!

Him: Great, is it different than a normal one?

ME: Yeah its a different colour and its sparkly!

Him: I can't be friends with a 5 year old.


But I think the target audience of the pokemon show is elementary school. Extra colours would confuse their young minds.

Hmm that would be awesome, but im guessing a shiny noctowl wasnt even aired in the anime xD

Yeah he did. I remember from the Johto episodes.

Not to mention in the Hoenn episodes, Winona had a shiny Swellow.

oh awesome! was he ever proud of it? bet not...

lol its almost like in the games when you go battle a trainer and you send out a legdendary and then they say nothing XD when its the only one in the game

I don't think the writers hate them, it's just that, at normal times when shinies are seen, everyone is in a panic.

In the game: OH MY GOSH A SHINY YAYAYAYAY YAYYY!!! WHOO HOO! I FOUND A SHINY!!
In the TV show: Oh look, It's a shiny torchic. Let's grill it! om nom nom

Maybe the people in the show don't know that shinies are rare so they don't care.
I dunno.

I wish the people in the show besides the villains would show an interest in catching legendaries. Honestly, if I was in the show, I would at least have a Lugia or Entei or something. :/

The villains are smarter.

Yeah, they are, but they never try to use Poke Balls, which is the only way to keep the Pokemon in your possession and under your control like they want.

And I don't understand why Ash's pikachu isn't the most powerful pokemon ever. He's won countless battles, So how come when Ash goes to a new region pikachu loses to wimpy little things?

because the anime wont last a year if he had lvl 100 pikachu =/
