There he was, the boy who held all responsibility, his friends close, his enemies closer, and the one who he believed to be the one for him, even closer.
Sean.
This is the boy’s name who hailed from the town of Threed, who at first stuttered with his words when he spoke, or had an abundance of boldness deep within to speak like a leader. His wild, black hair was lightly tamed, spiked on low intervals of his head, his green eyes filled with determination, his battered body clothed in a striped green and white shirt, his dark blue jeans dirtied with the dust from the ground. Sean was becoming exhausted, for the one whom he deemed the love of his life, now turned against him.
He had met this mysterious young teenager in the chilling, aloof town of Winters. She was clueless, curious, and really pink. The moment she laid eyes upon him, she knew he was from a different place, a different town. However, she hadn’t known how he bypassed the veil of barrier that cloaked around Winters. It was a weird discovery for Sean, however, the boy was able to give a lesson of PK to the girl, and together, they used Starstorm and Celestial Storm to shatter the barrier around the snow-bound town. The endeavor was marvelous, and soon after, these two young PK users became fast friends.
Her name? Ciaris.
She didn’t know a lot about PK, though she had her various, substitutes of variants, like sound, healing, light, and wind. They were unusual to Sean, as his natural PK elements were unnatural to her. This difference didn’t stop the two from traveling to Summers, where Ciaris saw a beach for the first time in her life. The ocean, the sun, the livelihood of the place was in complete contrast of the lonesome Winters. But, the two were attacked by Starmen, strange alien lifeforms that attempted to claim their lives as well as their apparent PK powers. The silvery aliens were downed by the pair, and soon they teleported to Threed, Sean’s hometown.
The place was dark, creepy, and soon enough, infested with zombies! With the aid of another PK user, Anthony, the three children were able to defend the town and bring about the warm sun to clear the dark clouds looming over. The start of their dangerous adventure began there…
But now, here in Onett, Sean was cornered and shocked by the fact Ciaris was not who she was. No, he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the transformation. The melody he had, didn’t work. His basic PK elements were no affect. Ciaris, to anyone who had seen her in this beastly form would call her a monster. That deep red, glowing, golden eyes, purple, bat like wings, and canine-beast with curved horns and dangerous, large teeth; Sean was afraid to say it, but he merely uttered, “…Ultimate Chimera…” How could such a nice, charming girl that he had grown accustomed to be turned into this monster? This work was from none other than Porky. How that guy survived, nobody knew, but he had been sending Starmen after Starmen, even Master Belch, to apprehend the children. For what reason, who knew?
Still, Sean tried words to calm the rampaging Ciaris, afraid to hurt her, afraid to kill her, but they were thrown and tossed aside like she had carelessly done. The striped shirt boy was deeply pained, unable to figure his thoughts thoroughly as he saw his girlfriend storm through Onett uncontrollably. He knew deep down, there had to be a way to save her. But, how would he do it? Before the black haired boy could think any longer, the familiar form of Ness came about, readying his own PK.
“Monster! Take this!” the baseball capped youth shouted, forming a PK Flash strike.
Sean’s eyes widened with fear and rage, and with buckling strength, he attacked Ness down, stopping him from using his psychic power. “No!” the green-eyed boy shouted angrily. “Don’t attack! You might kill her!” Ness gaped at Sean, but pushed him off and frowned.
“What are you saying?!” the former hero retorted, “you can’t expect this thing to live any longer! It’ll just hurt innocent people! I’m protecting my town, so either you help me or not!”
Sean stood up, eyebrows furrowed. “You’re an idiot! I’m not killing Ciaris!” he shouted again. “And you won’t either! I won’t let you!”
“Um, guys?” the curly haired boy, Anthony, interrupted them. “Ciaris is going that way.” The two black haired boys looked in the direction Anthony pointed to, and the Ultimate Chimera was storming the main city! “Shouldn’t we, I don’t know, be stopping her s-somehow?”
“Yes!” the two shouted in unison, however, Sean pushed Ness away. “I’m saving her. You’ll end up killing my friend! So you stay here and protect the people!” he ordered like a military officer. Ness crossed his arms in defiance. “Fine, but if that thing comes near me, I’m killing it.” With this, Sean grunted at Ness’ words, then scurried off in a hurry. Time was against him.
The Chimera roared, sabotaging any building in the way, people screaming, jumping out of their cars, off their bicycles, or blandly staring at the monster with stupid, dinner plate wide eyes. They all shouted the same things:
“Monster!”
“Run away!”
“Help!”
The spiky haired boy from Threed boosted his speed with a surging rush of adrenaline. Once he was within three feet of the Chimera, he stopped, and yelled to it again. “Ciaris! Stop this!” The monster didn’t hear, and continued crushing the life from scattering people with the weight of her body, flattening cars, destroying tall buildings, and stealing free food from outside stands with one bite. “Ciaris!!” Sean yelled again, this time, exhausting himself to stand in front of the beast. “It’s me, Sean!” The creature leered its golden, beastly eyes at the youth. For a brief moment, it stopped terrorizing and stared at him, feeling some form of recognition in his eyes, at his battered, weary, body. The silence was golden, but didn’t last long, as the ferocious being roared once more, swatting Sean away with the flat side of its tail.
The Threed-native groaned, more pain and inflicted injuries sapping his strength away. He was knocked into a nearby streetlight pole, his back hurting as the agony shook his body like someone had jumped on him from being launched off a trampoline. His breath was growing short, his heartbeat increased, and he didn’t have the will to use PK Life-Up. As Sean lain upon the tattered street’s ground, from the peripheral of his eye, he saw the monstrous Ciaris storm her way back towards were Ness would be! “…No!” he coughed, his will fired through his veins to steer him upward. “Ciaris… come this way…” The black haired boy staggered and strained his body to move. He
had to move, or the one he cared for the most would be lost forever.
He faintly remembered their earlier travels, her smiling face, laugh, and charm. He would not let them go; he had to save her, somehow, someway! Deep in the pit of the large beast, Ciaris herself had given into this dastardly form. No matter how much she called for him, she could not hear Sean’s voice. It seemed to have bounced off the Chimera’s barrier each time he called out. The hero of Onett saw the Ultimate Chimera nearing him and a few citizens, glaring his dark, navy blue eyes at it. “I warned that kid if you came near me, I’d kill you!” he yelled bluntly, standing firmly in place. The Chimera launched some form of a beam attack at Ness, however, he evaded and steered the people he had been protecting away to safety in time.
“All right, you! I don’t care who you are, but you’re going down!” The baseball cap wearer said. His body began to glow a bright, greenish light, his eyes filled with the energy of psychic power he was calling and drawing upon. With his mind, he was dragging asteroids from space, pulling them towards the Earth’s surface. Because Ness was well experienced, he pulled them out of orbit faster than anyone could imagine. In the distance, Sean could see the idiot Onett-native beginning to use the deadly PK Starstorm, with his target being Ciaris. “No, stop!” the boy of Threed shouted angrily and tiredly at Ness, but to no avail. His dreary voice couldn’t be heard with all the screams of the townspeople drowning him out.
To his knowledge, there was no way to stop a PK Starstorm. But then, Sean got a fast idea; deflecting the PSI power with a kind of its own. “That’s…it. Maybe if I used my own PK Starstorm, I could make his rebound off mine, and I can still take a chance to get…Ciaris.” He groaned to himself. Sean was beyond exhausted, and his legs could barely hold him up. However, he wasn’t going to let his first friend down. “Come…on!” he grunted, drawing in the greenish, white hot energy himself, arms raised as his mind worked to pull asteroids from space as well. He needed to do it faster than Ness’ and he needed to do it quick. He could feel the former hero’s Starstorm reaching the ozone layer. With a surge of more power entangling him, Sean empowered his to trek down faster with the use of his newly acquired move: PK Blast.
The asteroids he had commanded turned into red, flaming meteors than their natural green.
The Ultimate Chimera itself felt the power of the deadly attack approaching and began to make a retaliation with a PK of its own: Celestial Storm. While monsters of this type weren’t capable of using PSI, this one was. A clutter of asteroids were being called down to Earth, all at one particular spot, and as the green-lighted chunks of rocks came hailing down, both Ness’ and Sean’s—whom was attempting to stop Ness’—the ice-encased Celestial’s bombarded within theirs and…
…a mighty explosion happened…
It was a bright, white light that took away everyone’s hearing, sight and other senses for a long duration. It seemed to have lasted a whole hour, when in reality, it was only for ten minutes. As the smoke and light cleared up, a large caving in of Onett was where the Chimera once stood. Nothing was there, but Ness. He had shielded himself from the attack, but was worn for wear. “That was unexpected.” He muttered, looking down at where the beast had been. “But at least it’s gone.” Sean huffed and puffed as he dashed over as fast as his legs would carry him, seeing the enormous ditch. His green eyes paled, scanning for any life of Ciaris. There, in the leftmost side of the crater, he saw the faint pink that belonged to his Winters friend.
“Ciaris!”

Sean ran with newfound energy, both excited and deeply scared, skidding down the crater’s edge, not caring if he scraped his legs further than they were. As he got there, his smiling, weary face drowned itself in shock, sadness, the moment he laid eyes on the girl he once knew. His shortened, quick breaths suddenly died, his eyes were struggling to keep the salted tears from falling, but they rolled out along his dirtied features. Sean’s knees buckled down, and with the little leftover strength, he tried to use the rest of his power. “P-P-P-PK L-L-Life-Up!” he commanded, taking hold of the body of Ciaris. Nothing happened. Sean clenched his fist and tried again, this time, louder. “I said… PK-Life-Up!” the power within circled out of his body, and touched the girl’s frame.
Again, nothing happened.
Doomed for worse, the youth, lowered his head, unable to think anymore. He exhausted himself, his power, and his mind. He fought the urge to give in, and attempted to use PK Life-Up as many times as he could before being truly “emptied” of PK. The healing technique brushed past on the pink haired girl’s lifeless form, no sign or evidence that it was working. More tears rolled down the boy’s face, and his mind was in denial that…
…Ciaris was dead.
…By his hands.
