Best Pokemon of Each Type
Okay so every now and then ill make a list of the best few pokemon from that type and say why they are good. These pokemon will be judged on competive play and my personal opinion. Also all Ubers wont be in the listed. Feel free to disagree, discuss and voice your opinion.
NOTE: Duel types will be judged on both of their typings e.g Ferrothorn will be both in grass and steel. Also anything in bold will what makes that pokemon good.

Okay lets start with the first type on the type chart, Normal.

Normal type: Normal is definitely an interesting type. Defensivly its not to bad only having on weakness and one immunity. Offensivly it preforms simular with 2 types that resist it and one immune, however offensive normal types will often have rely on their secondary stab to be an offensive threat.

Notable Banned Pokemon: Arceus: Arceus is the only normal pokemon who is banned. He is a huge threat in Ubers with great stats, sword dance and stab priority in Extremespeed.

Okay the queen of normal types is (Drum Roll) Blissey

No suprises here Blissey is a defencive monster. Supplying a monstrous base HP stat of 255 (The highest of any) and a amazing 135 Special defense Blissey can take anything from the special side. She also has a fantstic support move pool that consist of Wish, Toxic, Aromathropy, Heal bell, Thunder wave and Stealth rock just to name a few. She also has usuable special attack with base 75 but usually relies on the move Semistic Toss to deal damage. With those stats its easy to see why blissey has claimed the number one spot for Normal types.

Coming in number 2 is.... Chansey
[Image: 113.gif]
In previouse generations Chansey as always been an inferior Blissey. However gen 5 brought a god send for Chansey, the Eviolite Stone boosting both its defensive by 50% actually making it defensivly bulkier than Blissey. Chansey is here basically for the same reason blissey is, great stats, good support and can wall anything special. Chansey can also take phyical hits better than her sister Blissey. However the lack of Leftovers recovery and the ever so common Sand Storm is what stopped Chansey from taking Number 1 spot.

Okay number 3 was really hard to choose. Anyway i chose to go with another defesive threat, porygon 2.
Like chansey the Eviolite Stone was a god send. With defensive stats of 85/90/95 (HP/Def/Spdef) boosted by the eviolite you can see why Porygon is hard to take down. With Boltbeam (Electric and Ice) coverage, a great defensive ability in trace and instant recovery Porygon2 becomes a huge defensive threat. It also carries either Thunder wave or Toxic to cripple you. But dont underestimate it offensivly either with a great 105 Special Attack it can hit hard, but usually has to rely on download to really hurt things.

So our top 3 normal types our defensive threats. Well number 4 breaks that trend. Some people will disagree with this decision but like i said, this is my opinion. So without further ado number 4 goes to Sawsbuck.
Yes Sawsbuck has taken number 4 spot and for good reason. Wile Sawsbuck doesnt have any huge stats that jump out at you it does have a nice base 100 Attack and 95 Speed. Your probably still wondering why sawsbuck is here so ill tell you. Sawsbuck has a graet ability in Chlorophylly, which doubles its speed in sun. When you factor in Sword Dance to boost attack, Stabbed Horn Leech which can heal and negate life orb damage, stabbed return which when at full happiness has a massive 102 base power and finally either Natural power (which turns into earthquake) or Jump Kick for coverage you have one scary Chlorophylly sweeper in your hands. Thanks to Ninetales ability drought you can make this all happen.

Number 5 was so hard to choose. It came down to 2 pokemon Togekiss or Staraptor. Togekiss is a hax machine, great move pool and very versatile wile Staraptor hits exreemly hard with reckless brave bird that will put a dent in anything. Infact Staraptor hit so hard it was banned from the UU tier and thats why it narrowly takes out 5th spot.
Staraptor hits extremely hard. Stabbed Double edge and Brave bird, both boosted by reckless will hurt anything but lets not forget its other great ability Intimidate. Staraptor is often seen using a choice set with Brave Bird, Double Edge/Return, Close Combat and U-turn. It also has quick attack for priority and roost for recovery. Staraptors raw power and decent move pool is what took out number 5 spot.

Well that rounds out our top 5. I guess you guys can see whos going to get number 6 spot. Togekiss
TOGEKISS:
Yep unfortunately Togekiss doesnt get its picture up but that by no means makes it a bad poke. Togekiss is a hax machine with ability serene grace. It also has an insane move pool and awesome stats to back it up. Wile base 80 speed may seem to let it down that problem can be easily fixed with access to Thunder wave and body slame which has a 60% chance to paralysis. Once the opponent is paralysis Togekiss can just flinch them to death with air slash which has a 60% chance to flich with serene grace. Thats not all it can do. It has nasty plot to boost special attack, can act as a cleric with heal bell and can even baton pass stats changes.

Number 7 spot was pretty easy to choose. One pokemon stood out that hasnt been chosen yet and that pokemon is.... Snorlax
SNORLAX:
With massive base 160 HP and 110 in both attack and special defense you can see why snorlax can be so threatning. Snorlax can go pure defensive with a rest talk set, can go pur offensive withs its great attack and bulk or my personal favour both. With access to curse it can raise its poor defense to hight levels and its attack to frightning levels caple of taking any non super effective hit and hitting extremely hard. I hope you can see why number 7 spot went to snorlax now.

Well the pokemon now are really not that great in my opinion. To take out number 8 spot due to its verstility is Smergal.
Smeargle.
SMEARGLE:
Smeargle managed to take number 8 spot due to the fact it can learn every move in the game. Smeargle usually just spores you, shell smahes and baton passer to something that can sweep your team. Really all its good at is baton passing stats.

Number 9 spot was dificult to decide. Anyway i choose Ambipom.
AMBIPOM:
Ambipom has a grat ability in Technician. Ambipom usually hurts its oppents by its great speed and stabbed, technician boosted priority move in fake out. After it uses fake out it will probably just U-Turn to get out and come back and do it again.

I decided to get to the magic number 10. Anyway this was a hard one to choose between Swellow and Porygon-Z. I chose Swellow probably because im bias, so for the sake of that ill call it a tie.
SWELLOW & PORYGON-Z
Swelow has massive speed at base 125. It may seem like it has a pretty medicore attack stat at 85 but that can be easily fixed by giving it a toxic orb which activates its ability Guts. Swellow like Starptor hits hard, Stabbed Brave Bird and Facade hurt. Note that Facade has base 140 when swellow it posioned. It also has U-Turn to give switch momentum and protect to scout.
Porygon has massive special attack at base 135. Its speed lets it down slightly but choice scarf can fix that. It also has 2 great abilitys in download and adaptability which can make hit extremely hard.

Notable Unreleased Pokemon: There are currently 2 normal type pokemon currently unreleased. One of which could have a huge effect on the meta game, and that is Imposter Ditto.
This guy is the ultimate revenge killer given it has a choice scarf. Ever had a +6 salamence sweep your team, well this guy can stop him. Just send him in and he transforms into that Salamence instantly thanks to Imposter and better yet he copies all that pokemons stats except HP.Now all you have to do is Outrage and you turned his sweep into yours.
The other unreleased pokemon is....
Meloetta will be an interesting pokemon. But I dont see it being a top threat.

Okay sorry about the later pokemon not getting much of a write up but thats because I usually dont have much experience with them. Also ill be posting all types on this thread not making a seperate thread for each (that should be obvious). Ill be doing is Fire next. Also its not always going to be a top 10. Some types might only have 7 good pokemon wile others like steel might have just say...17.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
This thread is pretty great. Also it should be noted that Smeargle cannot actually trace Chatter or Struggle.

actinhero112 Wrote:This thread is pretty great. Also it should be noted that Smeargle cannot actually trace Chatter or Struggle.
Thnaks for clearing that up action and glad you like this thread. Also id like to apologize in advance for any spelling and grammer mistakes i make. Like i said the next type im doing is Fire.

Fire: Fire is one of my favourite types. Offensivly fire types are great hitting the very common steel for super effective damage, fire also hits some of the top threats of metagame for super effective most notably Scizor and Ferrothorn. Although fire does have it problems. It has a crippling weakness to very common types including ground, water and rock. Fire also has a weakness to the ever so common stealth rock losing 25% of their health on the switch.

Notable Banned Pokemon Blaziken: [Image: 257.gif]
Blaziken got 2 huge boost in gen v. The first & biggest was his DW ability speed boost. The second was Hi jump Kick which went from 100 base power to 130. When you factor in Sword dance to boost his already massive 120 attack you understand why he got bannished to the land of Ubers. With the banned pokemon im trying to pick pokemon whos stats dont conside 680 and above. The other uber fire types are Reshiram and HO-OH who are both huge threat in ubers.

Well anyway the number one fire type should be Obvious. He was king of DP OU. He is........ Heatran
[Image: 485.gif]
Heatran is an amazing pokemon. Great typing in fire and steel. Great defesive with 91/106/106 and a massive special attack of 130. Heatran has a fantastic move pool to back both his offense and defense. These moves include Roar, Toxic, Taunt, will-o-wisp, torment and stealth rock for support and sloar beam, overheat, magama storm, heatwave, flamethrower, flame charge, fire blast, dark pulse, earth power and dragon pulse for offensive. Heatran also has 10 resistants and 2 Immunitys with flash fire. Unfortantly heatran has some bad weakness to common types such as fighting, water and a massive 4x weakness to ground. The fact that heatran can be definsive or offensive with great success is why he claimed number 1 spot for the fire type.

Unlike the number 1 spot the rest were very hard to choose. Number 2 spot goes to one of my favourite gen v pokemon. The Fire Moth Volcarona
[Image: 637.gif]
Volcarona may seem an odd choice for 2nd place but it well deserves it. Volcarone has amazing stats with massive 135 special attack 105 special defense and 100 speed and good typing. But thats only a part what makes Volcarone such a threat. Volcarona has an amazing move pool including one of the best boosting moves in the game Quiver Dance. Not only that Volcarona is very versatile. It is a monster in the sun, can preform well in the rain since it learns hurricane. But like all pokemon Volcarona has its problems, the most notable a 4x weakness to rocks. This means Volcarona loses 50% of its health swithing in if stealth rock is on the field so rapid spin support is vital if not running Morning Sun for recovery. Not only that but is almost always walled by Heatran who is immune to fire and resist its secondary bug stab. But with the right team support Volcarona wont disapoint.

Number 3 and 4 was so close between Inferape and Ninetales. The fire monkey has great offenisve stats and a huge move pool wile Ninetales can support a whole team. Anyway thanks to its support Ninetales just gets the edge.
It should be pretty why Nintales took out Number 3 spot. In gen v Nintales got a god send in its hidden ability Drought which can support a whole team. But Ninetales is no slacker either, it has nasty plot to boost special attack, a sun boosted fire blast hurts many pokemon, energy ball/solarbeam for coverage and support moves such as will-o-wisp, toxic, hypnosis and disable. Like most fire types Nintales has a crippling weakness to stealth rock and due to lack of recovery rapid spin is needed for Ninetales to last long and win you the weather war. Another problem Ninetals faces is that it struggles agaist the other two weather inducers Politoad and Tyranitar.

Well i think you can all guess who number 4 is.
Yep Infernape has taken out number 4 spot. Inferape is an amazing pokemon with great duel stabs in fire and fighting, an awsome base speed of 108 and good offensive stats with both attack and special attack at base 104. Inferape has an amazing move pool which consist of nasty plot, calm mind and sword dance to boost its offenses, moves like grass knot, u-turn and stone edge for coverage and poweful stabs like close combat, focus blast, fire blst, flare biltz, fire punch and overheat. He also packs mach punch and vacume wave for stabbed priority. With those great stats and move pool Infenape can run so many sets well including sword dance, nasty plot, choice band and my favourite mixed. Another perk is inferape doesnt have a weakness to stealth rock thanks to its fighting type. However with defesive stats of 76/71/71 Infernape wont be living many hits.

From number 5-9 was really hard to choose, all preforming simular roles. So to round out our top 5 i chose to go with another of my favourites, Chandelure.
Chandelure is certainly a unique pokemon. It has a monstorus 145 base special attack (The higest of any non legendary) unique typing in ghost and fire and great abilitys in flame body and Flash Fire. Wile its base 80 speed may seem to stop it from being a top threat and to an extent it does but that problem can be easily fixed with a choice scarf. Paired with a poke like scizor you can bait the fire move, get the flash fire boost and clean up with Fire blast as long as there is no resistants/Immunitys. Scarfed Chandelure isnt the only threat, specs chandelure hits extremely hard, sub/pain spit can be a pain to deal with, calm mind can be extremely threating when boosted and Chandelure can even go defensive with moves like will-o-wisp and not too bad defenses both at base 90. Chandelure can also heal itself with pain spit. However Chandelures is hurt by all forms of entry hazzard and weak to some extremely common moves. However with its immunitys, good stabs and threatning special attack chandelure can find a spot on many teams.

Honestly the next 4 pokemon are so close. Id like to call it a 4 way tie and in a way they are. They all perform simular roles but its their own unique qualities which can make them fit into a team better than one another and thats up to you to find. Of course im talking about the rest of the UU fires which include Victini, Arcanine, Darmanitan and Rotom-H. Anyway im going to call it a tie but for the sake of this ill order them in personal opinion.
So due to being so verstile number 6 spot goes to Victini.
VICTINI
Victini has one massive weopeon in its arsenal. V-Create which after stab and a possible sun boost hurts anything thats not immune. Victini has a fantastic move pool which include Fire Blast, Overheat, psychic, Searing shot, zen headbutt and the already mentioin V-Create for Stab. Grass Knot, focus blast, brick break, shadow ball, thunderbolt and FusionBolt for coverage. He also has U-Turn for scouting and Final Gambit and many status moves including toxic, thunder wave and will-o-wisp. With all these moves and stats to back it up you can see how versatile Victini is. He can run a choice set, be physical and special, go mixed or even run a successful trick room set thanks too V-Create speed drop. However Victini like most fire types has weakness to common types. He is also hurt by entry hazzards and lacks recovery.

Number 7 again goes to another Versatile pokemon. Arcanine
ARCANINE
Gen V brought some huge upgardes for Arcanine. These include Close Combat and Wild Charge to add to his physical move pool. When you factor in Flare Blitz as stab and extreem speed for priority coming off a base 110 attack stat you have one decent physical attacker on your hands. Not only that but Arcanine has two great abilitys in Intimidate and Flash Fire. Arcaine can go defencive due to its stats and access to will-o-wisp and Intimidate, be a physical attacker or even a mixed attacker. Again entry hazzards are a problem but Arcanine does have access to morning sun to help with that.

Number 8 goes the hard hitting Darmanitan.
DARMANITAN
Darmanitan hits like a truck. With base 140 Attack and a great ability in Sheer Force nothing will enjoy taking a boosted flare blitz from this guy. Not only that but darmanitan has a decent move pool with earthquake, rock slide and superpower all hitting exremely hard. He also access to U-Turn making him perfect for a choiced set. However Darmanitans base 95 speed is a slight let down. This problem can fixed by a choice scarft. Also Darmanitan is weak to common moves and stealth rock. Darmanitan struggles against Bulky waters and is predictable. Still if your looking for something to hit hard Darmanitan is your man.

SO number 9 spot goes to.... Rotom-H
ROTOM-H
Rotom Heat has great typing in elctric and fire and thanks to levitate is immune to a potential 4x weakness to ground. Thanks to Volt Switch rotom can go choiced or be a bulky attacker. However Rotoms main problem is that its only stabbed fire move is Overheat. Also Rotom is easy to wall with pokemon like Swampert, Flygon and Snorlax all taking minimal damage from its attacks. Its also predictable.

The Fire types are really starting to drop now. To take out number 10 spot is..... Houndoom
HOUNDOOM
To be honest I havnt used Houndoom before. But that doesnt mean hes a bad poke. With great offensive stats and access to moves like nasty plot to boost his already high special attack, Fire blast, dark pulse, overheat and crunch for stab and also sucker punch for priority houndoom seems like it can be a threat. However base 95 speed is a let down and picking another common type weakness in fighting are some seriouse draw backs for Houndoom.

Noatable Unreleased Pokemon: There is one currently unrealeased Fire pokemon that will have a huge effect on the meta game. That pokemon is Shadow Tag Chandelure
[Image: 609.gif]
Chandelure makes that list again. This time with its currently unreleased ability Shadow Tag. This thing will be scary with shadow tag, give it a choice scarft and it becomes a fantastic revenge killer due to the wekened pokemon not being able to switch out. Revenge killing isnt the only thing shadow tag allows chandelure to do. It can set up on things that cant hurt it. For example imagine sending in Chandlure on blissey, subbing to block status and blissey can break your sub if running seismic toss or flamethrower. Now you can set up all the calm minds you want, boost your speed with flame charge if you want and sweep. Unfortunately Chandelure will probably suffer the same fate as Blaziken and be banished to Ubers.
Another fire type currently unreleased is Regerator HO-OH. Ho-Oh is already banned but Regerator is a fantatic ability for Ho-oh. Ho-oh main problem in ubers is stealth rock and with regenerator it allows Ho-oh to switch in more. Unfortunately Ho-oh cant use Roost with regenerator however this is not a big problem seeing as Ho-Oh learns recover for recovery.

The next type I will be doing is Water so that will be interesting.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
Ho-oh is not getting his props.

More special defense than blissey
130 base attack
Sacred Fire
Counters several prominent threats in ubers.
Regenerator

Still a fantastically great thread.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
How could i forget HO-OH, he is one of my favourite legendarys. Anyway I edited him in. If i ever forget a pokemon in the future just say so. Anyway like i said the next type i will be doing is Water.

Water Type: Gen V brought a very useful tool for water types Scald. Scald has a 30% chance to burn making bulky waters even more bulky. Defensivly Water type is great only having 2 weaknesses in electric and grass and 4 resistences in steel, fire, water and ice. Offensivly water isnt that bad either, hitting ground, rock and fire for super effective. All water types except magickarp, seismitoad evolution line and rotom-w are capable of learning ice type moves (outside of hidden power) which can be very useful for hitting grass and more notably dragon for super effective damage. However the ban of Drizzle and Swift Swim stops waters from reaching their full potential.

Notable Banned Pokemon: Kyogre: Kyogre is the king of ubers with its great stats, boltbeam coverage and stabbed water spout and surf backed up by drizzle. Infact Kyogre is the most used Uber. Other Uber water pokemon include Manaphy and Palkia.

Well if youv been paying attention to the metagame you will probably know who number 1 will be.
Rotom-W takes the number 1 spot. This guy is currently one of the kings of the OU tier being the 3rd most used pokemon last month. So why is Rotom so good? Well for a start Rotom has the ability levitate which leaves Rotom with only one weakness, grass. He also has good defences both at base 107 and special attack at base 105. He makes a prime user of choice scarf and specs thanks to the ability to learn Trick and Volt switch. Rotom has the ability to counter some of OUs top threats including the ever so common Gliscor and Landorus. Not only that but thanks to previously being a ghost type Rotom has access to will-o-wisp and pain split which separate him apart from other water types. Will-o-wisp can make Rotom even more bulky wile pain spit gives it a form of recover. All these perks are what makes Rotom-W so good in todays metagame.

Number 2 spot was relativly easy to choose. Number 2 goes to Politoad.
Much like Ninetales politoad is here primly due to its ability drizzle. Although dont underestimate Politoad. Politoad has decent defenses of 90/75/100. He also has a fantstic support movepool which consist of Toxic, Encore, Hypnosis and perish song. Politoad isnt too bad offensivly with stab + drizzle he makes a decent user of choice scarf and specs. Although if your not using politoad for Drizzle hes most likely out classes by other bulky waters.

Number 3 and 4 were hard to chose. In the end i went with Starmie
[Image: 121.gif]
Starmie is an excellent pokemon with a huge base 115 speed and good 100 special attack. Stramie wile not great isnt to bad defensivly either with 60/85/85. Offensivly Starmie is fantastic with boltbeam coverage and stab hydro pump, psychic and psyshock, the former allowing it to take on blissey. Starmie also gets recover for instant recovery. But probably Starmie biggest attractions is its access to Rapid spin. Starmie is one of, if not the best Rapid spinner in the current metagame. This can prove Vital for pokemon such as Volcarona. However Starmie has one huge threat to deal with, Ferrothorn. Ferrothorn can be a real thorn (anyone get that?) for Starmie however paired with a strong Fire type and this problem is easily fixed.

So like i said number 3 and 4 were hard to choose. So just missing out on number 3 spot was Tentacruel.
When one looks at Tentacruels base stats you may think hes outclassed by other bulky waters. With sub par base 80 HP and low a base defense at 65 not to mention a weakness to the common earthquake you may still be wondering how he got number 4 spot. Well one word support. Tentacruel is a fantastic support pokemon with access to Toxic Spikes and Rapid Spin. Not only that but with a grat special defense stat of 120
it means you you invest almost all Evs into defense. Teantacruel also has 2 fansatic abilitys in Rain Dish and Liquid Ooze. Rain dish + Leftovers mean hes getting the same recover as poison heal gliscor in the rain wile Liquid ooze reverse the effects of leech seed, giga drain and the common drain puch actually taking it away health instead of healing. If your looking for a pokemon to spin away hazzards and suppot a team well Tentacruel is your poke.

From number 5 and onward this list gets really hard to choose. Lots of pokemon perform simualr roles as bulky waters with a few exceptions. So number 5 goes to one of the best 'Bulky Waters' in the current metagame in my opinion Jellicent.
So Jellicent rounds out the top 5. Jellicent is a fantastic pokemon with good base stats and a few key things that separate Jellicent from other bulky waters. The first you will notice is its unique typing of Ghost and Water. Jellicents Ghost typing give it a immunity to the common fighting type and allow it to act as a spin blocker. Jellicent also has great defense with 100/70/105 and wile base 70 defense may seem poor but thanks to it ghost type Jellicent can learn Will-O-Wisp which means it doesnt have to rely on the 30% chance of scald burning. Not only this but Jellicents base speed of 60 isnt to bad for a wall allowing to run the helpful move Taunt successfully. If this wasnt enough Jellicent also has instant recovery in the form of Recover and two great abilitys in Water Absorb and Cursed Body. Jellicent is an amazing pokemon and with all these assets its easy to see what seperates Jellicent from other bulky waters. In the right hand Jellicent can seriously cause trouble to a lot of teams.

The next pokemon is another classic bulky water. Number 6 goes to.... Vaporeon
[Image: 134.gif]
If your wondering why Vaporeon still gets his Image up its because we have a long list. Yep another bulky water however Vaporeon, much like jellicent has a few things that seperate it. The first thing that separates Vaporeon from other waters is its ability to learn Wish and thanks to black and whites new menchanics and Vaporeons massive Hp stat of 130 Vaporeon can pass a massive 232 wish to other pokemon. Not only this but thanks to scald and Vaporeons new DW ability Hydration (which should only be used in rain) he is as bulky as ever. Vaporeon also has another fantstic ability in Water Absorb giving Vaporeon a immunity to water. Another thing that separates Vaporeon from other water types is the fact that it can Baton Pass with moves like aqua ring, acid armor and a new move work up. However if not used in rain with Hydration Vaporeon is weak to status like most bulky waters. Also another problem with Vaporeon is that it cant hurt ferrothorn wile ferro can use Vaporeon as a health sauce thanks to leech seed and its Vaporeons huge health. However if your using pokemon that lack recovery Vaporeon can be a huge assest to yout team.

The more the list goes on the harder it is to choose. Number 7 goes to a fantastic all round pokemon. Gyarados
[Image: 130.gif]
Gyarados still remains a huge threat in todays metagame. Excellent typing, massive 125 base attack two great abilitys in Intimidate and Moxie and access to one of the best boosting moves in the game Dragon Dance are all factors that make Gyarados such a threat. Defensivly Gyarados isnt too bad either with Intimidate and decent 95/79/100. With all these assets your probably wondering why Gyarados wasnt higher on this list. Well first Gyarados has a bad weakness to stealth rock. The second is that Gyarados has a bad speed stat 81 and even at +1 in speed common choice scarf users such as terrakion and landorus can out speed and KO with stone edge. However get past these flaws and Gyarados can find a slot on many teams with his great offensive and defesive capabilitys.

Claiming number 8 spot is a pokemon that got some huge boost in BW. Cloyster
CLOYSTER
Cloyseter returns to the Bw metagame playing a very differnt role than in previouse gens. In DP you would usually see this guy use his massive base 180 Defense to lay out spikes, toxic spikes, rapid spin and when he was done he would explode using his decent attacking stat of 95. However BW brought Cloyseter arguably the best set up sweeping move in the game Shell Smash. When you factor in his great ability Skill Link allowing him abuse Icicle Spear (which gets stab) and rock blast which both break subs, focus sashes, sturd and dragonites multiscale turning him into a terrifying sweeper. If you think steel types will wall him think again. With stab on either Hydro Pump or Razor Shell steels types will think twice before switching in. But Cloyster does have one mojor flaw, his secondary typing of ice, leaving him weak to stealth rock and the common priority move mach punch. Not to mention he is now hit neatral by scizors bullet punch, which after the defense drop will hurt. Cloysetr is still capable of perfroming his old role of laying out spikes and rapid spinning however this is usually out classed by his sweeping potential.

If i made this list a few month ago this pokemon would of been higher. However with the ban of Thunderous this pokemon somewhat lost its purpose. Of course im taking about Gastrodon who takes number 9 spot.
GASTRODON
Wile not having the best stats Gastrodon is one of those pokemon that just works in todays metagame. Although Gastrodon does have a few assests that allow it to stand out as a bulky water. The first is its ability Storm Drain which gives it a immunity to water wile allowing to boost its usable special attack of 92. Not only that but when you factor in a great HP stat of 111, instant recovery in recover, decent defense of 68/82 and great typing (water/ground) giving Gastrodon only one wekaness this actually make Gastrodon quiet bulky. But Gastrodons main attraction is its ability to wall top threats like Rotom-W and Starmie. However Gastrodon is weak to toxic and cant hurt ferrothorn who has powerwhip which hits for 4x super effective damage.

So we are now out of OU and into UU. This next pokemon is one my favourites. Rounding out our top 10 is Swampert.
SWAMPERT
Swampert is a great pokemon. With good defenses of 100/90/90 great typing (water/ground) leaving swampert with only one weakness, grass and a decent attacking stat of 110 allowing Swampert with its great natural bulk to utilize a choice band successfully. Swampert is also a great pokemon to lay up stealth rock, phase with roar and perhaps one of the best tyranitar counters in the curent metagame. However Swampert has a few major flaws, the first is no recover (out side rest) which means Swampert is easy to wear down with entry hazzards and toxic. But probably Swamperts biggest problem is ferrothorn, who can switch into Swampert, lay out entry hazzard and scare away with a 4x super effective power whip. Hopefully Swampert recives a recovery move such as slack off in near future allowing him to claim is old status as a OU pokmeon.

So like i said we have a long list. This next pokemon was extremely close to going claiming number 10 spot instead of swampert. So taking out number 11 is...... Slowbro.
SLOWBRO
Slowbro remains a reliable physical wall with great defensive stats of 95/110/80. Gen v also gifted Sowbro with a great new ability Regenerator making him bulkier than ever. Slowbro also has decent special attack at base 100 meaning he can run a successful calm mind set allowing him to boost his medicore special defense and hit hard. Slowbro can also set up trick room reliably with his bulk and will more than likely go first due to his bad speed stat. If that was enough slowbro has instant recovery in Slack Off and ferrothorn will think twice before switching in thanks to slowbros ability to learn Flamethrower and Fire Blast. However Slowbros psychic is what stopped it from taking out number 10 spot. Wile this gives him a resistance to fighting type it also gives some unwanted weakness to bug, dark and ghost. Slowbro really doesnt like eing poisoned either so a pokemon to take status for him would make a good partner. Still if your looking for a good phsyical wall who is hard to wear down chances are Slwobro will fit that roll.

Again if i made this list at the start of this gen this pokemon would probably be number 1. Of course im talking about Kingdra who comes in at number 12 on the list.
KINGDRA
If you wonder why swift swim+drizzle was banned just have a look at this guy. Great typing (water/dragon) leaving him with only one weakness to dragon, great stats with 95 in eveything except HP at 75 and speed at 85. However his speed problem was easily fixed due to Swift Swim. He also has access to one of the best boosting moves Dragon Dance. With great stats in both offenses kingdra can go physical, special or mixed with powerful stabs moves that include outrage, draco meteor, dragon pulse, waterfall, surf and hydro pump. However Kingdra doesnt have a move pool out side those moves mentioned having to rely on sub, rest, yawn or hidden power to fill the forth move slot. Not only that but Kingdra now has to dragon dance, set up rain dance or rely on a team mate to set up rain if it wants to outspeed top threats. Also in UU empoleon walls most sets and Flygon is naturally faster and can KO with Outrage.

I decided to add only 2 more to this list. There were honestly 4 pokemon that could of taken out these last two sopts, however it came down to two main compitors. Suicune and Milotic. Suicune was a former OU but with the hard hitting threats introduces in the BW metagame he feel to UU. Milotic however has always been a UU and the new generations brought some usful new tools for Milotic. In the end i had to go with personal experience. Considering iv swept entire teams with Suicune and have minimal expeience with Miltotic, Suicine takes out the Number 13 spot.
SUICUNE
Suicune narrowly takes out number 13 spot. Suicune has great defensive stats of 100/115/115 making it extremely bulky. Suicune also has a decenct special attack stat of 90 which can be boosted by Calm Mind as well as its already good special defense. However unlike other water types (including milotic) Suicune doesnt have access to instant recovery (out side rest). Luckely Suicune is bulky enought to run a restalk set. (Rest and Sleep Talk). Suicune can also make good use of roar and with its natually high defense phazing out any set up sweepers. Suicune can run numerouse sets successfully including the already mentioned restalk, sub calm mind, offensive calm mind or even the very annoying Crocune which consist of Calm mind, rest, sleep talk and scald. Unfortunately for Suicune he faces stiff competion from other bulky waters like swampert, slowbro and milotic. Not to mention walled by the most used pokemon in the UU tier roserade. But if in need of a bulky water who can take hits from both sides and phase with roar Suicune should always be considered.

So like i said this will be the last pokemon to make the list. You should all know who he is by now. Milotic takes number 14 spot.
MILOTIC
The first thing youll notice about Miltotic is its great defensive stats of 95/79/125 allowing it take special hits all day. Milotic also has decent special attack as well at base 100. Milotic also has a few other assets that sperate it from other bulky waters. First Milotic can learn that all imporant recover. The other is Milotics ability Marval Scale which means Milotic can run a restalk set better than most bulky waters. Also thanks to marval scale Milotic doesnt fear toxic as much however its not recommended unless your running rest. Milotic also has haze to reset any stat changes and dragon tail for phazing. Unfortunately like suicune, Milotic struggles against roserade and zapdos. However if in need of a water type Milotic should always be considered.

Because this list was so long i didnt put all the pokemon i wanted on it. So some other notable pokemon are Empoleon who has great typing and good special attack and defense. The other is Sharpedo who thanaks to speed boost and massive 125 base attack stat makes a formable physical attacker.

Notable Unreleased Pokemon: There is one current unreleased pokemon that will make an impact on the matagame. Keldeo
[Image: 647.gif]
Honestly i wouldnt be suprised if Keldeo gets banned. Keldeo has massive base 129 special attack and 108 speed. Keldeo has a fantastic typing (water/fighting) and move pool that scream special sweeper with access to calm mind, surf, hyro pump, hidden power, focus blast and even better Keldeos signiture move Sword Of Mystery that has base 85 power and works like psyshock so it hits pokemon defense using Kedleos special attack. With an EV spread of 252Speed and special attack with a speed boosting nature, after a single calm mind Keldeos special attack reches a massive 534. Keldeo isnt too bad defesive either with 91/90/90 allowing it to survive hits and after a few calm mind boost will be able to take many special hits. Keldeo also has some key resistences to stealth rock and pririty moves such as bullet punch, aqua jet and sucker punch. Keldeo has the ability to go physical with access to sword dance. After a single sword dance Keldeo can reach a massive 534 attack with an adamant nature and 489 attack with a jolly nature not to mention powerful physical moves like close combat, aqua tail, stone edge, x-scissor and aqua jet for priority. The one problem Keldeo faces is that it has no form of recover. But with the new pokemon movie coming out soon Keldeos release shouldnt be to far away so look at for this little pony to take the matagame by storm.
Honerable mention goes to Sheer Force Feraligatr who is currently unreleased.

The next type ill be doing is electric.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
I totally agree with you. Rotom wash is extremely hard to counter, people talk about ferrothorn countering it, but ferrothorn hates being tricked, or burned.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
The abundance of fighting types and it's abysmal speed makes it lackluster pk05. Fighting is arguably the best type in the game. And if it's scarfed, it's walled too easily.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
Like i said in my previous post the next type will be electric.

Electric: Offensivly Electric is a great type hitting the common bulky waters and common flying types for super effective damage. Electric is commonly seen used along side ice to give boltbeam coverage hitting every type in the game for neatural damage. Defensivly electric seems promising only having on weakness to ground however thats not the case. Ground is extemely common and furthermore most electric types are rather frail. There also seems to be a shortage of good electric types in the current metagame.

Notable Banned Pokemon: Thundurus: [Image: 642.gif]
After starting the gen in OU Thunderus was deemed to powerfull and banned. With great offensive stats of base 111 speed, 125 special attack and 115 attack, access to nasty plot a 100% accurate thunder thanks to ploitoads drizzle and with hidden power ice and focus blast to round out coverage you can see why Thunderus was banned. This set is still viable in Ubers however Thundurus just cant OHKO what it could in OU and is very frail in the Ubers enviroment. However Thundurus can use its great ability in prankster in Ubers to stop entry hazzard with priority taunt and slowing opponents with priority thunder wave. The other Electric type Uber is Zekrom who with his fantastic stats is a massive threat. [Image: 644.gif]

Guess whos number 1
[Image: 479-wash.gif]
Rotom-W makes it two in a row. Well iv already said what makes this guy good so ill just dot down some key points. The first he has only one weakness grass. Good special attack at base 105 and good defense both at base 107. Thanks to his former Ghost type Rotom-W can learn Will-O-Wisp and Pain Split to make him even more bulky. He can also counter some of todays metagames top threat such as Gliscor. Also thanaks to the new move Volt Switch and rotoms ability to learn trick Rotom makes a prime user of a Scarf or Specs. Also like actionhero mentioned Rotom-W is extremely hard to counter. People say ferrothorn is its biggest counter however defensive varients can burn ferrothrorn which due to no instant recover can wear him down as well as crippling him offensivly. If a Choiced varient Rotom can just dump its choiced item on ferrothorn making it useless.. Further more Rotom-W can just Volt Switch out if in an unfavourable match up. If you want a more detailed check out his write up in the water list in my previous post.

No one really came close to Rotom. Like i said there is a shortage of electric types however there are still a few good ones to come. Coming in at number 2 is the exremely useful Magnezone.
Magnezone remains in the OU tier for one main perpose. To trap and ko steel types. Magnezone has a fantastic ability in Magnet Pull which prevents steel types switching out. With Magnezone base 115 defense, many resistances and massive 130 special attack Magnezone can trap many common threat such as scizor, ferrothorn and forretress and ko with stabbed thunder bolt and hidden power fire. Magnezone does have one major problem though, a 4x weakness to ground. However if your team struggles against common threats such as scizor and ferrothorn chances are magnezone will fit your team well.

cliaming number 3 spot is one of my favourit eeveelutions. Yep thats right, Jolteon.
With an amazing speed stat of 130 and good special attack stat of 110 Jolteon makes a fantastic special attacker. Jolteon also has a handy immunity to electric with its ability Volt Absorb. Thanks to Jolteons massive speed stat and a new move introduced in BW, Volt Switch Jolteon makes a prime user of choice specs . Unfortunatly Jolteon doesnt have a fantasic move pool, and is very frail with defensive stats of 65/60/95. Furthermore Jolteon is completly walled by gastrodon. However if you can play to Jolteons to strenght, using its fantastic speed, good special attack and volt switch to keep offensive momentum Jolteon wont dispoint.

The next two on the list were the hardest to choose form. It came extemely close however due to its versatility Zapdos claims number 4 spot.
Zapdos is a fantastic pokemon. Zapdos has extremely good all round stats with its lowest stat at base 85 (its defense). Zapdose also has a high 125 special attack and formable speed at base 100 allowing it to become a special attacker with its fantastic move pool. Zapdos also has decent defesive stats of 90/85/90 and with access to roost, toxic, roar, substitute and his secondary typing giving him some good resistances and a immunity to ground Zapdos can go defesive with great success. However Zapdos flying type does leave it weak to stealth rocks and ice but those are only minor flaws. So Zapdos versatility allows it to tak out the number 4 spot.

Like i said number 4 and 5 were close so you have probably guessed who takes out number 5..... Raikou
[Image: 243.gif]
Raikou has fantastic special attack and speed both at base 115. When you factor in Raikous great move pool, access to calm mind you have a threatning set up sweeper. Thats not all Raikou can do, like jolteon Raikou can make great use of choice items. Raikous defenses arnt bad either 90/75/100 allowing it to take a few netural hits wile setting up. Unfortunatly Rakiou is weak to common scarfers such as flygon in the UU tier and landourus and terrakion in OU. Not only that but if you want to use event moves like aura sphere and weather ball it forces Raikou to be shiny (which isnt a bad thing) and have a rash nature which wile isnt too bad you lose that all important speed.

Just misssing out on the top 5 is another Rotom form. Rotom Heat form takes the number 6 spot.
ROTOM-H
Iv already given this guy a write so if you want more just check out my fire list. Anyway in short Rotom-H has a great ability in Levitate which helps him dodge a 4x weakness to ground. He also has great stats shared by most rotoms. His defensive stats stand at 50/107/107 and when you factor in Will-O-Wisp and Pain split Rotom-H makes a good bulky attacker. Just like Rotom-W, Rotom-H can learn trick and volt switch making him a great choiced pokemon. Unfortunatly for Rotom-H he is weak to stealth rock. He also only gets overheat as a fire stab and common pokemon in UU like swampert, flygon and snorlax can all switch in and take minimul damage.

The list really starts to drop here. Claiming number 7 is Rotom-C.
ROTOM-C
Like all Rotom forms Rotom-C has good defensive stats and good special attack. Also, like the other two rotom forms Rotom-C makes a good user of choice scarf and choice specs thanks to its ability to learn trick and volt switch. Rotom-C also has good coverage with his powerful stabbed leaf storm, stabbed thunderbolt/volt switch and hidden power fire. However Rotom cant really hurt fire types and is out classed by its water and fire type brothers.

Galvantula claims number 8 spot.
GALVANTULA
With a great speed stat of 108 and decent special attack at base 97, a fantactic move pool Galvantula makes a great special attack. Galvantula also has a great ability in Compoundeyes which raises thunder accurace to 91%. However Galvantulas bug typing leaves it weak to stealth rock and common moves such as fire. Galvantula is also very frail and wont live to many hits.

The last electric type on my list is Electivire
ELECTIVIRE
Electivires main attraction is its ability to hit much of the metagame for super effective with his fantastic move pool which consist of earthquake, cross chop, ice punch and flamethrower just to name a few. However Electivires speed lets it down and wile morot drive may seem like it can fix this, there just arnt enough electric type moves in RU for him to catch this boost. Electivre also doesnt get good boosting moves and just doesnt hit as hard as it did in DP.

Noatable Unreleased Pokemon: There were only two unreleased pokmeon that might have and impact on the game. Volt Absorb Raikou and Lightning Rod Zapdos. Wile Lighting Rod Zapdos looks promising it has to give up heatwave, which in my mind is not a good trade off. Volt absorb is a better ability that pressure but it wont really change Raikou much.

Sorry about the short write up from Rotom-C down but honestly i dont play RU so dont have much experience with them. Anyway the next type on my list will be Grass.

One thing; You need a Miltank in the normal type list. Miltanks are beast. They have high defenses, know Milk Drink, and when you have one with the ability Scrappy, well, you'd better watch out.

Add Miltank to the Normal type list.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
Todays type will be grass.

Grass: Grass is an interesting type. Offenisvly speaking speaking grass isnt good. 7 types resist grass (including grass) so many grass types will have to rely on their secondary stabs. Defensivly Grass is better but still not great. Grass is weak to 5 types and only resist 4 types (including grass). Furethermore grass is weak to two common types, ice and fire. This may all seem bad but many grass are duel types negating some of these weakness, not to mention grass resist ground which is very common.

Notable Banned Pokemon: Apart from the obviouse Arceus (who can be every type) the only other banned grass type is Shaymin-S (Shaymin Sky Form) [Image: 492-sky.gif]
Shaymin-S is one of my favourite legendaries and is a fantstic pokemon with great base speed at 127and great special attack at base 120. Shaymin-S also has one of the best abilitys it could ask for, Serene Grace. With stab air slash and Shaymins speed you can usually flinch many things to death. Also shaymins signiture move seed flare now has a 80% chance to drop the opponents special defense by 2 stages. The only problem Shaymin faces is that its weak to stealth rock and is very frail.

Number 1 should be no suprises. He is by far the best grass type in the metagame. In january (2012) this guy was the 6th most used OU pokemon. He is....................... Ferrothorn
[Image: 598.gif]
Ferrothron is a truly amazing pokemon. With defensive stats of 74/131/116 great typing in grass and steel allow Ferrothorn to check/counter many of the threats in todays metagame. Ferrothorn also has an amazing support move pool that consist of stealth rock, spikes, leech seed, thunder wave, ingrain and toxic. Ferrothorn also has a an amazing defensive ability Iron Barbs which deals 12.5% of HP when you make contact with Ferrothron allowing him to wear down opponests. Dont underestimate Ferrothorn offesivly either, with 94 base attack and Ferrothorns natural bulk makes him a perfect candidate for a choice band set where he can hit very hard with power whip and a strong gyro ball thanks to his base 20 speed. Unfortunatly for Ferrothorn he has a bad 4x weakness to fire and a weakness to fighting. He also doesnt have any recovery outside leftovers, leech seed and ingrain. However with team support to cover up Ferrothorns weakness Ferrothorn will return the favour and support your team by walling some common threats and laying down enetry hazzards.

The next 2 were very close. In the end i choose with to go with my personal experience. So claiming number 2 spot is... Breloom
[Image: 286.gif]
Breloom is a unique pokemon with unique typing to say the least. Breloom is a perfect example of how important stat distribution, ability and move pool is. With one of the lowest base stast in OU Breloom still stands out as a top tier threat. Massive base 130 attack, access to one of the best moves in the game Spore and one of the best abilitys in the game Poison Heal are all factors of what make Breloom such a threat. Also Breloom is extremely difficult to counter as it can leave its counters incapacitated thanks to spore. Breloom can also check many top tier threats such as tyranitar and is a pain for the ever so common sand teams lacking gliscor. Breloom can make great use of the move Focus Punch which comming off base 130 attack and after stab not many things will want to switch in. Despite Brelooms bad defenive stats 60/80/60 he can make great use of a Bulk Up set. With special defense Evs and a few bulk ups and drain punch + poison heal recover you would be suprised at how much hit Breloom can take. The bulk up set also has the perk of countering the famous Volt-Turn combo as after a few bulk ups Breloom can take any hit from Scizor and Rotom-w is OHKO by seed bomb. But like all pokemon Breloom does have its fair share of problems. First Breloom is weak to two common types, fire and ice and without any defense investments Breloom is quiet frail. Breloom also has bad base speed at base 70 allowing a lot of things to out speed Breloom. However if played right Breloom will always do its job and even if its taken out early game it can usually leave one pokemon incapacitated with spore.

Like i said number 2 and 3 were close. Some people will believe that this pokemon should be number 2 and I can see where there coming from. However in my opinion Breloom is just slighly better. Anyway claiming number 3 spot is Celebi.
Celebi is a extremely versatile pokmeon capable of running many sets thanks to its balanced stats all at abse 100. With Celebis fantactic support move pool and defensive stats of 100/100/100 celebi can be a great support pokemon. Dont underestimate Celebi offesivly with access to nasty plot and sword dance as well as the moves to back them up Celebi can be a fantastic special or physical sweeper. Wile Celebis typing may seem bad leaving weak to 7 types it also resists 6 very common types, most notably fighting and ground. Unfortuantly two of Celebis biggest threats, scizor and tyranitar are extremely common. However look past this and Celebi can be a great addition to any team.

Rounding out our top 5 is another extemely useful/versatile pokemon Virizion.
The first thing you will notice about Virizion is its unique typing of grass/fighting which is only shared by one other pokemon to date, breloom. With Virizions great typing and massive 129 special defense Virizion makes one of the best counters to weather teams. Offensivly Virizion is fantastic. With base 90 in both offeses and a base speed of 108 allowing it to outspeed most of the metagame Virzion act as a bulky special sweeper or just a special sweeper with calm mind, a physical sweeper thanks to sword dance or even a mixed sweeper with work up. Unfortunatly for Virizion its defense stat lets it down and unless invested dont expect it to live many powerful physical hits. However if your team struggles against weather or are just in need of a sweeper you should always consider Virizion.

Rounding out our top 5 is Venusaur.
Venusaur is a premium sweeper in the sun thanks to its new ability Chlorophyll and growth new mechanics which in sun light double both attack and special attack making. Venusaur also has very balanced stats with nothing below base 80. Venusaur is also extemely difficult to counter thanks to its access to sleep powder. Unfortunatly if you take away Venusaur beloved sun light it struggles to keep up in such a powerful hitting metagame. However if you ever decide to make a drought team Venusaur should always be considered.

Unlucky not to make our top 5 is Roserade.
Roserade.
Roserade is currently king of UU and for good reason. With decent special defense at base 105 and many key resistences Roserade is by far one of the best pokemon to lay down spikes or toxic spikes. Roserade also has a great ability Natural Cure which in conjunction with rest can make for good recovery. Roserade can also hit extremly hard with massive base 125 special attack. Many people dont know this but because Roserade can usually afford to go modest which means a leaf storm form this guy hits harder than a standerd non specs draco meteor form latios. Furethermore Roserade is exremely hard to counter thnaks to status moves which include toxic, stun spore and sleep powder. Note that sleep powder is illeagle with spikes. Unfortunatly for Roserade it is weak to common types such as fire, ice and psychic and with base 60 HP and 55 defesne dont expect Roserade to take too many physical hits. However with the right team support Roserade can make a vualued member of any team.

Coming in at number 7 is Sawsbuck
SAWSBUCK
Iv already done a write up on Sawsbuck so if you want a more deatailed read check out the normal list which is the first post in this thread. What makes Sawsbuck so good is its good stat distrobutin and its ability Chlorophyll which doubles is speed in sun. When you factor in its move pool which consist of sword dance, horn leech, return and natural power or jump kick for coverage you have one scary chloropyll sweeper on your hands. One thing I failed to mention in Sawsbuck other write up is its ability to Baton Pass. Sawsbuck can boton pass numerouse stat boost including agility, sword dance and work up. However this set is usually out classed by other baton passers such as mew.

The next pokemon on our list is very unique. So claiming number 8 spot is Abomasnow.
ABOMASNOW
Abomasnow is the only fully evolved pokemon with the ability Snow Warning (which summons permanent hail) making it a must have for hail teams. Wile hail usuage seems to be rising hail is the least common weather and for good reason, its just not as good as the other weathers. If you look past snow warning Abomasnow is not a very good pokemon its self. With 7 weakness including weaknesses to common types such as fighting and fire and only 4 resist Abomasnow wont last too long. Not to mention he is weak to stealth rock. Also if you want to actually take advantage of Abomasnow good attack and special attack you usually have to give it a choice scarf to make up for its bad speed. So if your not using Abomasnow for its ability its probably outclassed by other pokemon. Still its ability and decent offensive stats land it at number 8 spot.

Claiming number 9 spot is Shaymin.
SHAYMIN
Shaymin is a fantastic pokemon who with his balanced stats is capable of running many sets. With 100/100/100 Shaymin can spong many neatural hits and fire back with its signiture move seed flare which as a 40% chance to drop the oppents special defense by two stages allowing it to plow through even the best special walls. It also has a great ability in Natural Cure which like iv already stated works well with rest. Unforunatly for Shaymin, like all grass types it is weak to common move types such as fire and ice. Shaymin also faces stiff competition from other Grass types in the tier such as roserade. However Shaymins versatility sets it apart from other grass types.

Unfortunatly the list starts to really drop after shaymin. So rounding out our top 10 is Tangrowth.
TANGROWTH
Tangrowth is one of the bulkiest pokemons around. With a High base HP of 100 and monstrous defense at base 125 Tangrowth can take physical hits for days. Gen v also brought a fantastic new ability for Tangrowth, Regenerator which makes Tangrowth as bulky as ever. Tangrowth also boost a decent special attack at base 110 allowing it to hit hard with move like giga drain. So with all these assets why isnt Tangrowth in a higher tier. Well weakness to common types (fire and ice) which usually hit from the special side really hinder Tangrowth. Tangrowth has terrible special defense at base 50 which mean it wont live any powerful special attacks. Tangrowth also has terrible speed which he has to give up regenerator to fix (it isnt worth it trust me). However if you look past these flaws you have one of the bulkiest grass types which can be very helpful for some teams.

Notable Unreleased Pokemon:
There are currently two unreleased pokemon. One of which will have a huge impact on the metagame wile the other will probably rise to OU from NU. Im talking about Technician Breloom and Contrary Serperior. First ill talk about the biggest threat out of the two Breloom.
Technician is an amazing ability for Breloom. The first thing you should notice is that Technician boost Brelooms mach punch making it as powerful as scizors bullet punch but with much better typing. The second thing you should notice is that Brelooms bullet seed gets boosted at amazing levels. At worst (if bullet seed hits 2 times) is has 75 base power making it just worse than Brelooms main stab seed bomb. If bullet seed hits 5 times it has a rediculous base power of 187.5 not factoring stab. When you facor in sword dance to boost Brelooms attack to powerful levels, spore to stop its counters and mach punch for proirity Breloom looks set to become a premium sweeper. Infact Technician Breloom is so good that on the PO server it is currently being suspect tested in dream world OU (Testing to see if it gets banned to Ubers).

Contrary is an amazing ability for Serperior. For those of you that dont know contrary reverses stat boost so when Serperior uses leaf storm it goes + 2 in special attack rather than minus 2. With Serperiors amazing base speed at 113 it will make a decent special attacker. I would be scared but unfortunatly for serperior it doesnt have the special move pool to abuse it. It only has leaf storm and a hidden power of your choice making it easy to counter. However this ability should be enough to get it to rise from NU to OU.

First i want to say sorry if some these seemed rushed. Every pokmeon after breloom I had to write twice so yeah it was a bit rushed. The next type on my ill will be doing is Ice.

* actionhero112 doesn't see Whimsicott. Doesn't see Cradily.

:L

Curse + Suction Cups? Whimisott also changed how people see the defensive meta.
Though I have respect for it being your list. Not my list.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
I think the best of the grass types is Sceptile. He has blades on his arms. How cool is that? Also, he is fast and he was the only Pokemon to know Leaf Blade until Snivy came along.

Gallade, Bellossom, Leafeon, Victreebel, Tropius, Farfetch'd, Smeargle.

They all learn leaf blade and existed before Snivy.

Okay, I guess. I just never seen them learn it by level-up. Which game do they learn through level up? In RSE, only Sceptile knows Leaf Blade.

RE: Best Pokemon of Each Type
For Victreebel, she learns it in PL/HG/SS at 47
For Gallade, he learns it as one of his beginning moves from D/P onwards.
For Leafeon, she learns it at level 71 from D/P onwards.
For Bellossom, she learns it as one of her beginning moves in PL/HG/SS.
Smeargle has always been able to learn Leaf Blade through sketch.
By breeding a female farfetch'd with a male leafeon that knows leaf blade, the offspring farfetch'd might know Leaf blade
Tropius can learn it by breeding a female tropius with a sceptile in D/P onwards.
