An Overview
Emboar is mainly used in a support role. Heat Crash doesn't do enough damage (80) for a second stage, and it's retreat cost is 4. Its Hp is pretty great, but it's low damage makes it lackluster. It would be a pretty mediocre pokemon if not for it's ability, Inferno Fandango. Despite the grammatical error, (it should be Infernal Fandango) it's a great ability which allows you to add as many fire energies as you want to
1 of your pokemon. This allows you to power up heavy hitters such as Reshiram or Magnezone, in one turn.
Trainer Cards I recommend
Ok, so obviously, you are going to want some Energy Retrievals and Fishermen, because unless your pokemon is magnezone, your energy cards will be flying into the discard pile. After that it's usually preference, but since these are trainer cards
I recommend here are the cards I usually use.
