(Practice ASB Battle) Cypher Versus CJ (Ref: Aerbro the Magnificent)
[Image: 220.gif]      [Image: 335.gif]
Cypher     VS     CJ

Quote:Type: Two on Two single swich-style
Damage Cap: thirty percent
Arena: Kinleaf Battle Garden
Banned Moves: None
Details of Arena: a large garden fit for battling. It has electric fences and boulders scattered everywhere. It is the main source of trainer battling in the Gildor League.

CJ gave this as the details for the battle, I'll elaborate more on the matter of hitting the electric fences:

Upon hitting an electric fence, if your Pokémon is neither electric nor ground type:
- There is a 50% chance of paralysis
- Your Pokémon will sustain damage between 4 and 16%, depending on effectiveness
- Hitting an electric fence will result in its destruction.

There will be 6 electric fences.

To make the first battle truly fair, the battle is a rental battle, with only basic Pokémon.

You have the choice of the following ten Pokémon, abilities are your choice (if a Pokémon has been chosen by the opponent, you may also pick that Pokémon):

Vanillite, Ferroseed, Togepi, Wailmer, Zangoose, Rotom (Normal Forme), Swinub, Spinda, Machop, Carnivine

Randomiser dictates:
Cypher posts, picking a rental Pokémon.
CJ posts, picking one and then chooses moves.
Cypher posts, choosing moves.
I ref and so forth.

(okay, is it the same three move rule???)

Zangoose, power up your speed with an Agility. Then use Dig, using Agility as your speed modifier. Then wait for the opponent underground.

Agility - Dig - Wait for opponent

Okay, Swinub, nothing significant going on this round, so let's lead off with some Hail on the battlefield to get some power on your moves. Next up, use a Reflect to cover any blows from Zangoose's multitude of physical moves (including the Dig it has stored up). Finally, finish off with an Earthquake, to inflict double damage while it sits underground.

Hail ~ Reflect ~ Earthquake

Round 1

Both trainers ordered their moves, and the Pokémon got right to work. Being generally the fastest, Frangoose moved first. Almost leaping the second she heard her orders, the cat ferret Pokémon began speeding around the arena. With no general form or pattern, she dived in and out of rocks and away from electric gates. Jumping over bushes and maneuvering around ponds, she looked rather insane. However, her insane and quite frankly random journey took her back to her original position, five metres in front of CJ. Not looking at all phased, this seemingly random act had raised her speed.

Frangoose:
+1 SPD
-4 ENG

Swanknub was the next to move. Well, not move, not really. He lifted his head and stared into the sky. Then, he starter to hum. The hum, high pitched but warbling, rang throughout the arena, echoed by the trees. The hum was weird, it sounded like it would be cold. As he continued to hum, clouds quickly migrated towards and over the arena, casting a dark shadow over it. The sound of cold made the clouds ripple and wave, and the tips began to freeze. They grew heavy, and then started to rain. The rain then freezing and turning into hail. Surrounding the arena.

Weather:
Hail (3 more rounds.)
Swanknub:
-7 ENG
Frangoose:
2% hail damage

And then Frangoose, being hyperactive and hyped up on agility still, jumped into action. Looking down immediately below her, with her huge claws, she began to dig. Grabbing handfuls of dirt and tossing them behind her, the clumps hitting CJ on the face and clothes. She suddenly began to pick up pace and her arms were moving faster than one could see. A hole was created within a matter of seconds, large enough to be able to fit her in it. When the hole was dug, she dived in.

Frangoose:
UNDERGROUND
-9 ENG

Swanknub laughed, Frangoose had fallen right into his trap...well, okay, not trap...not anything. Frangoose had chosen a silly move. Why dig against a ground and ice type? Oh well. Anyway, Swanknub decided to be a physical bane to Frangoose and started to set up a reflect wall. Getting up on his hind legs, he pushed himself into being bipedal. Then, using his forepaws, he started to do an impression of a mime against a wall. His forepaws pressing up against an invisible wall in the middle of the battlefield. A pink tint suddenly appeared in a cube surrounding Swanknub. As if there was a barrier there.

Swanknub:
+REF (2x DEF)
-8 ENG

Frangoose was just ordered to wait for her opponent, so she did. Chilling in the meantime.

Frangoose:
+5 ENG

Swanknub was next. Grinning to himself, knowing that being underground would cause more damage to Frangoose. Trotting over, happily, near to Frangoose's hole, he began to stomp. At first, due to his weight, it didn't do much. And, then, with each stomp, the intensity of the stomping began to grow. As the intensity grew, so did its frequency. The ground, soon enough, started to shake and quiver, the loose dirt around Frangoose's hole jumping up and down. Eventually, the shaking was so intense that it broke the ground in too, striking Frangoose's hole, knocking her back a lot.

Frangoose:
22% Damage Done
Swanknub:
-13 ENG

The hail continued to fall.

Notes:
-CJ. Zangoose does not learn agility, but I am giving you the benefit of the doubt here, seeing as its 'dex entry states it does and other ASBs allow it. This will not happen in the future.
-Weather effects will not effect anyone underground.
-Cypher, post your orders next.
-I used discretion when the status moves didn't do as much energy consumption as it should have done.

RE: (Practice ASB Battle) Cypher Versus CJ (Ref: Aerbro the Magnificent)
Simple round here.

Dig for your first action. Second, stay down there, no need to come up. However, if Zangoose attempts to attack you underground on the first action, then go back up to evade.

Next, Chill out. If you resurfaced, then go for an Amnesia.

Dig ~ Stay down / Resurface ~ Chill / Amnesia

Just nitpicking, but that's supposed to be opposite, unless I'm not seeing something here.

I imagined seeing as it was CJ's arena in CJ's region it would be you're the challenger :u

Okay, Zangoose, its time to go back above the ground. But lets do this with style. As soon as you get out, throw some dirt at Swinup's face and then use Slash.

go above ground throws dirt Slash

I did post them, I edited my original post, second time saying that. .-.

I did edit it after CJ posted their commands, but only because of a small specification I missed, nothing that would counter CJ's.

I think. .-.
