does this really works?
does this works?

to start of, lets say u have an egg with mesuda method on it..........
*summarize the egg*
it says it doesn't close to hatching
*biking*
*summarize the egg again*
it says close to hatching
*biking*
*summarize the egg again*
it says sounds can be heard inside
*save the game*
walking till it hatches
*it hatch*
*turned of ds*
*biking*
*remembers the last step before it hatches*
*save the game*
*one step*
*it hatch*
*its not a shiny pokemon*
*turned off the ds*

and if you repeat this step will you get a shiny
pokemon????
im trying to find out if this works.

RE: does this really works?
It's the same as soft resetting.
It won't increase your chance of getting a Shiny Pokemon but it does make it faster if you have 6 eggs on the verge of hatching.

RE: does this really works?
It's possibly because it's too much trouble to breed hatch them.

RE: does this really works?
exactly the chance for a shiny is almost as high as
the right nature pokemon/gender/ egg moves/ DV and if you want THE right hidden power if you take it that seriously and that's the equivalent for a shiny -in my encounters for it- plus ability

Soft reset won't affect your game's functionality whatsoever. If that's what you're asking.

I read that the PID (Shiny, gender, ability and IVs) are set when the egg is created, so I'm not sure if you can soft-reset for shiny when you have the egg.

What he said. The excact time the egg is made, theese are set. Not when you get it from the breeder i think, but when it's actually "obtained" by him.

Same before I read that I was going for a shiny Serious female Chimchar, after that I felt like a fool as I was soft-resetting right before it hatched.

Tip: Also, saving after you get the egg it's nature, gender, ability and stats are permanent. Try saving before you grab the egg and bicycling. Don't forget to have Flame Body Pokémon or Magma Armor.

Other than this, tpmrpg said everything I was going to say. xD Good luck, Pogi.

Acutally once the egg is laid the nature, gender, ability and IVs are set not when you grab the egg. (Thanks pokesavs ability to edit daycare pokemon)

RE: does this really works?
Now I believe My friend told me this/ No you cant do it.

Reason being- The egg to the game is shiny or Non Shiny before it hatches, the game knows that. So you really arent soft resetting, But more like wasting your time. also What I do is use volcarona with flame body and I MMed for a Shiny magikarp, and It took 600 steps to hatch him. it would be way easier to just hatch the eggs 1 by 1.

Hope this helps/M72

RE: does this really works?
I used to soft reset for a female snivy with a Jolly nature, but it never really worked. I know for a fact that the IV's, nature, gender, and stats are determined as the egg is made. What I doubt though, is that soft resetting the game is just a waste of time and you'll never get a Pokemon with the perfect sets without re-breeding it. I know for a fact that the "shiny" ratio is 1/8600-something, so even if soft resetting does work and you get a shiny baby egg, you are just wasting your time by resetting. Just go trade with someone on the GTS, it would speed up the process. Sorry if I sound mean, I'm not trying to be~
