Found any references?

In video games, have you found a reference (or have ou found this thing a reference is based on) to something?

On Sonic 2 (beta 4, which is basically almost finished.), the 4th Chaos Emerald requires 45 rings in the first section, yet there are only 42 rings. Thus, it is impossible to get the 4th Chaos Emerald.

Never played it, but I know what you mean. The Beatles question was really hard.

I've seen that recently in a game, as well, and it was a reference, and its annoying that I can't remember it.

"A Winner is You" is from Yoda from Star Wars.

In Super Mario RPG: Legend of Seven Stars, you can find Link sleeping in an Inn. Forgot what town it was, but it's funny.

In the original OoT you can see pictures of Mario and gang in Hyrule Castle when going to see Zelda for the first time.

Oh, and A Link to the Past has a Mario Picture in a house.

There are three Skyward Sword posters in Ocarina of Time 3D. They're in Gerudo Valley, The Bombchu shop, and Ingo's house.

In one LoZ game, there's a secret room with many blue rupees, with a sign that says "Hey, I'm Chris Houllian. This is my secret room. Keep it between us, OK?"

In Luigi's Haunted Mansion, if you stand at just the right spot and wait for the lightning to flicker in, you can see Luigi's shadow looks like someone hanging themselves.

In a Mario game, if you look at the right spot, you can see shadows that look...ominous. If you look in the games coding, those shadows are called "H*ll valley Trees", when those, in fact, do not look like trees.

In one GTA game, you can find a large beating heart inside the Statue of Liberty, only accessible by simply hijacking a helicopter and flying to the place you'd least expect it- The Room of Happines. Well, the heart is just...beating. You can shoot at it, and it'll bleed, but nothing else.

...I suppose that Luigi's Haunted Mansion is a non-US version.

The "A winner is you!" Is from Fawful, a character from the Mario and Luigi RPG series.

I swear- "A Winner is You! is from some NES game, like really.

Lol, SS is a reference to it's own series.
