Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I've been fixated with this game ever since I got a free starter deck at Geeks, the greatest video game store I've ever been to. So I was just wondering if anyone else plays as well.

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I'm watching a LP of the original Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Plains Walkers.

Seems fun. I've seen Red, Green, White, and Black decks so far.

Maybe I'll actually get into the actual game, though I would need to get my friends into it, so I can actually play it. (Green seems like my kind of deck... Or maybe Red.)

Sounds like you'd be an aggressive player. Personally, I prefer Blue and White, with some Green. Mostly, I focus on using outlasting my opponent instead of just overpowering them.

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I guess I could be. Haven't seen all the decks yet, so yeah.

Aparently 1 deck is 15 dollars. Must get that much now. XD Or at least it's an intro pack, I think. *Closed tab*

I like the Goblin King in the Red Deck. Helps a lot, from what I've seen. It's really nice in how your creatures get healed after every turn, at first I was like: "...There must be, like a lot stronger cards, if this is the HP for this one..." but then I heard the whole healing thing! ^^

It's okay. I've played it before with my friend. I would've won too, though the bell rang. XD

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
Totally got a deck and everything. Entangling Webs!

I posted a bunch of info on my blog. XD

I got my friend something, forgot the deck. It'a a blue deck though!

I also can't wait to use Arachnus Spinner, a 6 mana creature, that's a 5/7, which Reach, and can get a card from the graveyard for one untapped spider? Sweeet.

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
Entangled Webs? That's a pretty good deck. If you want, more cards that'll go with it, try the Innistrad booster packs. Lots of green cards, plus more spiders.

Thanks, Spiders seem fun, with Reach.

I got my friend the Mystical Might one, he wanted a Blue deck, so... Yeah.

Hopefully I won't die, from Blue's habits...

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I have a pretty nice starter deck from Scars of Mirrodin. It's a black and blue, with a couple hardy green monsters and I think a goblin in there. I had a green deck once, but it was a bit too powerful for me to use it. Too many monsters costing too much...my deck's main theme is Proliferate.

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
Blue seems annoying, especially 'Unsummon'

Going to have fun, if my friend casts that on my Arachnus Spinner, which costs 6 Mana...

My deck is going to be, distract, so thatI get to use the big guns. XD

Arachnus Spinner is a 5/7. Can't wait to cast that. XD

Black seems a bit unfair, like revives, and one hit kills. Or at least from what I've seen from this LP...

So yeah.

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
Oh yeah. Black's a real killer. Basically, you have to get your land out there fast, so you can use your mana to Proliferate. Which basically means damage counters upon damage counters. I have a couple big black beasties, like Carnifex Demon and Skinrender. God, I love Skinrender; he's amazing for Proliferating. When you put him out there, you can put 1 -1/-1 counters on any 3 creatures on the battlefield. <3

Then of course, there's Doom Blade, which costs 1 or two mana and destroys any target nonblack creature. XD

My favorite Green creature in the deck is probably my Alpha Tyrranax. He costs 6 mana and has 6/5. He's just a typical Green Beast, I guess.

It's been a while since I've played...my sister was the only person I really know that played, and she had an Elf deck that kicked my butt royally every time.

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
...I- Am nervous to fight you, if I could Jinx. XD

Right now I'm going with the actually deck, Green/Red. Red to be itself, block and hold off while I power up Green, then use them.

Hopefully that'll be good. XD Seems like it would work well.

I like the idea of green, I have like 1 Vampire card, so yeah. No black land, so I wouldn't be able to use it.

Wondering if I should sub some card for Rusted Sentinel. It's a 3/4, that is summoned with any 4 mana. It enters tapped, but for a really easy to send out card, I think it's good.

Maybe when I start to make a custom deck, after playing for a bit I'll use it...

Also I love it's quote:

"It has to deliberate a moment on the best way to break your face." XD

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I love the quotes. They're awesome. X3

I have blacks to steadily do damage, greens to take hits and dish out direct damage so the blacks don't get royally screwed, and blues because they make for nice artifact/aura play. Though, to be honest, my blues aren't great...I have a few okay ones, like Harbor Serpent and Sky Eel School. For the most part, though, I use my blacks. Carnifex, though he has 6/6, kinda messes up my team, so I don't use him. But I have some good 'uns.

I don't really know why I have Goblins. I don't use them, honestly. They're a bit boring, for me.

I sort of miss the Green deck that my sister let me use. Lots of trees. They were very nice~

Also, here's Skinrender.

Ain't he a doll?

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
He reminds me of Alien. XD

Green is good at taking hits, especially when they power themselves up...

Unsummon would be a good blue card, especially because they just wasted Mana, and if they had a stradegy, then bye!

Boblins are cool, especially if you have Goblin King +1/+1 to all Goblins.

The more Forests the better! Bring on the big ones, I say!

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I was a big fan of the trees. They were hardy and nice. Not to mention lots of pretty pictures. XD

I really liked the Blue/White deck I played around with a while back. I think it was artifact-based, with a handful of Myrs, and it was fabulous. <3

I suppose I'm more strategy-based, though to be honest, I'm still kinda new to Magic. So, I'm obviously not amazing at it yet...

I got my friend a Blue/White deck, so yeah.

I'm not sure what I am... Right now I seem like, patient, then assualt.

I like stuff like that. Sorta like Halo, to be honest. Snipe out, then run in when I have the advantage...

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I sort of think about Pokemon when I think about my deck. It's like I've Toxic'd my foe's entire team, and then I switch into walls like Milotic to wear 'em down and keep them from killing me while they're slowly dying. XD

Not that I battle competitively or anything. I just thought it was good metaphor.^^

So guys, got any favorite cards? Any favorite Beasts, Zombies, etc? Obviously, my current favorite is Skinrender...

RE: Magic the Gathering, anyone?
I didn't know you played, Jinx! Skinrender? *shudders from memories*

Personally, my favorites so far are probably my 9/9 golem token, who I like to call Titan because I use Titan Forge to play him. I also like my Koth of the Hammer and my Mayor of Avaburk.

My decks tend to focus around a mixture of Green and White, with an enphasis on using low-cost monsters to make it easier for my heavier hitters to get out.
