This is my mono fighting team I made the other day for a tournament. The tournament has started and I won my first match agaist a mono flying team. Im aloud to swap any move sets I want and aloud to swap to any pokemon as long as their fighting type, so please make suggestion on how you think I can improve. This team relies on heavy hitting and lots of priority. Note that is a DW tournament so unreleased pokemon and DW abilities are aloud.

Naive@Focus Sash@Blaze
Fake Out
Stealth Rock
Overheat
Close Combat
144Atk/112SpAtk/252Speed

Wile this may seem a wast of Infernape believe me its not. You may also argue that leads are dead in 5th gen because of team preview and wile thats true it doesnt really matter to much in monotype. Infernape has two roles, to set up stealth rock and then deal as much damage as possible. Stealth rock is very importaint to this team since it relies on sweepers and priority. Fake out is there because its basically a free turn and close combat and overheat as powerful stabs.

Timid@Leftovers@Justified
Calm Mind
Hydro Pump
Sercret Sword
Hidden Power (Ghost)
4HP/252SpAtk/252Speed

Special sweepers are rare for fighting types and amoung them Keldeo is the best by far. After on calm mind Keldeo's special attack reches thretning levels. Hydro pump is a powerful stab that not many pokemon will like to switch in on, sercret sword to ruin any special wall who thinks they can wall Keldeo and Hidden power ghost to stop Jellicent from completly walling this set as well as providing perfect coverage. I chose leftovers for the item because after a few calm minds Keldeo can take a few hits, It also expands his life span which is useful since hes my main special sweeper.

Adamant@Life Orb@Inner Focus
Sword Dance
Close Combat
Extreme Speed
Ice Punch
4HP/252Atk/252Speed

This guy is extremely powerful and capable of tearing apart unprepaired teams. Sword dance to boost his attack to huge levels, close combat for a power stab, extreme speed for +2 priority as well as a powerful move in general and ice punch to hurt Gliscor.

Adamant@Leftovers@Guts
Bulk Up
Drain Punch
Payback
Mach Punch
120HP/252Atk/136SpDef

Standerd Bulk Up Conkedurr. The ev spread allows him to take a hit. Drain punch and leftovers serve as recovery, pay back is for coverage and mach punch for more priority. Iv thought about changing leftovers to flame orb just to make his mach punch more powerful.

Adamant@Life Orb@Technician
Spore
Sword Dance
Bullet seed
Mach Punch
4HP/252Atk/252Speed

Technician Breloom is extremely powerful. Infact mach punch is the most powerful priority on this team. Spore is a useful move in general, sword dance to make Brelooms attack reach sky high levels, bullet seed is extremely, extremely, extremely powerful after technician and stab, infact if it hits 5 times not much can live it and mach punch serves as a powerful priority.

Jolly@Lum Berry@Moxie
Dragon Dance
Drain Punch
Crunch
Ice Punch
4HP/252Atk/252Speed

Scrafty provides great synergy to this team. This dragon dance set is either to finish the game early or late. If I send him out early I hope to get a snowball sweep and if late game he can usueally finish the job. Dragon Dance raises Scraftys decent attack and allows him to out speed all base 111 pokemon. Drain punch as stab and recovery, crunch for stab again and ice punch prevides good coverage ruining any Salamences and Landerous that switch in as well as dealing huge amounts of damage to Gliscor and Dragonite.

the Infernape could be a threat to some teams so he works fine, but the lack of phasing moves on the team wastes some of his potential.

Keldeo. hes required in order to hit physical tanks so he has to stay.
but honestly his item is wasted and HP ghost is almost useless since you have 2 other pokemon that will destroy Jellicent.
i think he would do well with either an absorb bulb for switching Infernape out of a water attack while making him immediately dangerous, or a red card since it lets Keldeo weaken a pokemon and throw the opponent off balance at the same time. as for the last move slot either scald or taunt. Scald is there when you want to finish a weakened pokemon while keeping accuracy or a combination of accuracy and burn chance and Taunt is obvious.

Lucario. he looks good. but since you already have quite a few Sweepers a Special set with vacuum wave might be a better idea.

Conkeldurr. no complaints here.

Breloom. I love it.

Scrafty. I wouldnt use it. apart from its resistances to Psychic he will have competition for this spot.

Some good pokemon that would like Scraftys spot are.

Scarfed guts Herracross
he uses high speed to give him a psuedo priority with Strong moves such as Megahorn to take out Psychics that Fighting types hate

thick fat Hariyama
Fake out, bullet punch, and mach punch. he can effectively use all three to hit hard, coupled with with bulk up he will PLOW through the opposition. Or if you have good prediction skills belly drum so he can OHKO many pokemon with his base 40 power moves. *Kekekekekeke*

Life orb Technician Hitmontop
he keeps up with the Priority theme with Fake out, bullet punch, and mach punch. he cant hit as hard as Hariyama but he can Spin (you seem to be lacking one) quite well.

Thanks Zephyr, Scraftys going to stay though. He is so underated these days, his bulk up set is as deadly as Conkeldurrs if used right because of his superior defense and shed skin. Infact the only big differnece between the two is Conkeldurr has Priority (Why does scrafty not get sucker punch). The Dragon dance set is awesome if used right, because of his high defense he is usually gaurentee to set up 1 dd and sometimes two. After all you need is a few moxies and its GG. The only thing im concerned with scrafty is drain punch, just wondering if I should change it to hi jump kick for more power, but the recovery is nice. Also I dont really see anyone you mentioned worth replacing, Heracross is good but Scrafty id better after a DD, Hariyama just isnt that good in general and needs a toxic orb to be a real threat and well my team doesnt really need a spinner since they all resist stealth rock.

The reason I chose leftovers for keldeo is because I usually need him to stick around for a wile, and Calm mind doesnt boost his Spec Atk quickly enough meaning that if i have life orb he may only get one or two chances to attack, and I dont see any other item worth replacing leftovers. It also works well with the defense boost.

Lucario is interesting. I did think about the nasty plot set but its generally inferior to the sword dance set. Doesnt hit as hard and extreme speed is just such a good move.

ok if your keeping him then you might be better off giving him EVs in HP rather than Speed if you keep Drain punch. hes naturally slow so this way he can take a few hits while he boosts. if you do want to keep the Speed EVs so he speeds up quicker then Id go with Hi jump kick.the Herracross would be situational since he cant hit as hard as some other pokemon, and since your keeping Scrafty he loses some usefulness as an anti Psychic pokemon. As for Hariyama I would prefer the Thick fat over the attack boost on a team like yours because he would be suited to taking on fire types better then the rest of your team, can catch Ice attacks from Water pokemon quite well, and he has a mammoth amount of hp making a bulk up set very usable. Hitmontop, Yes you will be fine against SR, but I hope you havent forgotten that SR isn't the only entry hazard.

As for Keldeo, I see your point. the final decision comes down to what you need more. recovery or some situational tricks to turn the tide.

Lucario. Yes, the SD set hits harder, but Since you only have one Special attacker on this team, a second one would help out when A physical Wall gets a chance to set up, and his Special move pool can hit some Potential threats Super effectively of just plain harder then the Physical one.

All in all you have a mostly solid team (some holes cant be filled on a one type only team) and It looks good.
