My Sand Team [5th gen OU]
To anyone reading my thread best pokemon of each type sorry for not posting. Its just that school + Training= No time, hover i should have my next type up by tomorrow. So this is the sand team iv been using recently. I made this team at the start of the gen with changes being made as the metagame changed. This is what im currently using and want some help to improve it so anyones advice will be appreciated.

Sassy@Leftovers@Sand Stream
Stealth Rock
Pursuit
Fire Blast
Ice Beam
252HP/180SpDef/76SpAtk

Pretty standerd Tyranitar. In the sand his special defense reaches high levels allowing him to take many special hits. Pursuit to trap Latios and other Pursuit weak pokemon, stealth rock to support the team, ice beam for dragons and fire blast for Ferro and friends. Not much else to say.

Impish@Toxic Orb@Poison Heal
Substitute
Protect
Toxic
Earthquake
252HP/184Def/72Speed

Gliscor has great synergy with Tyranitar, Gliscor can take the fighting hits wile in return Tyranitar can take powerful special attacks such as ice beam. This set is meant to stall and wear down many pokemon, for example if Gliscor gets a sub up it can effectivly stall out pokemon like Jellicent with sub protect combo. Toxic and sandstorm damage will wear the opponent down quick, sub and protect for stalling purposes and earthquake for a strong stab. Once Gliscor manages to geta sub up this set can be very hard to stop. Ev spread is pretty standerd, hp and defense make Gliscor a good physical wall and the speed evs allow Gliscor to out run certain threats.

Adamant@Choice Band@Technician
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Superpower
Pursuit
248HP/252Atk/8Speed

Again pretty standerd CB Sczor. You should all know what this guy does. Bullet Punch for powerful priority that allows me to revenge kill many things, U-Turn for scouting, superpower for coverage and pursuit for Latios and friends. The ev spread maxes out attack and make Scizor resonably bulky.

Jolly@Air Balloon@Justified
Sword Dance
Rock Polish
Close Combat
Stone Edge
252Atk/252Speed/4HP

Terrakion is my main sweeper and the spec def boost in sand is always handy. With his duel stabs providing such great coverage it allows me to run both rock polish and sword dance on the same set. The stradigy is simple if anything outspeeds me i use rock polish and attemp to sweep, if nothing out speeds me i use sword dance and attemp to sweep and if a get both well its pretty much GG.

Careful@Toxic Orb@Poison Heal
Bulk Up
Spore
Drain Punch
Seed Bomb
236HP/212SpDef/60 Speed

Bulk up Breloom is a fantastic pokemon. After a few bulk ups he becomes extremely hard to take down. Drain punch and poison heal make a perfect combination, seed bomb for secondary stab and spore is just a useful move. Breloom is extremely useful for some common threats to sand teams as well as posing a huge threat to most rain teams. Ev spread pretty self explainetry, 236 HP allows a number divisable by 8 for poison heal, 212 spec def to allow Breloom to spong special attacks and 60 speed to allow Breloom to out speed certain pokemon.

Bold@Leftovers@Magic Gaurd
Calm Mind
Psychic
Focus Blast
Recover
252HP/252Def/4SpDef

Reuniclus is my special sweeper. He works much like Breloom but hits on the special side. The ev spread makes him as physically bulky as possible as calm mind can boost his special defense. Psychic as a powerful stab, focus blast for coverage and recover as a form of recovery. Like Breloom after a few calm minds Reuniclus can be extremely difficult to take down and is cabaple of sweeping entire teams.

Previouse members: Garchomp, Excadrill, Landorus, Celebi, Lucario, Ferrothorn, Skarmory and Rotom-W

Possible Replacments:
Celebi
Rotom-W
Magnezone
Landorus
Lucario
Heatran
Jirachi
And anymore anyone can think of.

So like i said this team is good but just needs some improving. Thanks in advanced to anybody who helps.

Aa good, well rounded team, I see you used many Smogon technuiques. Scizor works better with a more defensive approach, however.

RE: My Sand Team [5th gen OU]
^^ Thanks but what do you mean a more defensive approach with Scizor? Choice band and sword dance are the most common sets. Just wondering what set you would run.

I would use a Bulky Swords dance Scizor. He has an amazing Defence and he should use it.
Leftovers @ Technician @ Adamant
252 HP, 40 Atk, 216 Sp.Def
~ Swords Dance
~ Bullet Punch
~ Bug Bite / Superpower
~ Roost

RE: My Sand Team [5th gen OU]
Yeah i do like that set and actually considered it. However i already have 2 bulky sweepers (Reuniclus and Breloom) so i decided the extra power would be more beneficial.
