~Well Haii Thar!~

Note: This thread is a clone of the one on PokemonGTS.com. Some functions of this thread may have been disabled to accommodate with PokeBoard's community and rules.

Ever wanted to get some free awesome Pokemon?
Ever wanted to find out your Secret ID or other Pokemon data?
Ever wanted to check if your Pokemon was hacked, but no checker was online?
FEAR NOT!

Introducing... The Global Terminal!

Basically, instead of me having to engage in a trade with you to receive the Pokemon, in which we both have to be on at the same time, I can now receive or send your Pokemon, ANYTIME! (And I don't have to be on!)

This thread has five purposes.
  • Check Pokemon's Secret ID
  • Check Pokemon's Legality/Legitimacy/Data
  • Clone your Pokemon
  • Convert Pokemon to .pkm files
  • Receive free Pokemon

Before you embark on your journey into The Global Terminal, PLEASE, PLEASE, and for the third time, PLEASE, read all the information data to avoid any mistakes or errors.

~How to Connect~
The step by step guide of success!

Who can name me ALL 7 songs used in the background of the video? They're all from various games, not necessarily Pokemon. First to get all 7 correct gets 12 Pokemon of their choosing (Granted I can actually freely trade them). Isn't this exciting!?

Here's where things get a little technical.

To be able to connect to me, you need to:-

1. Have connected to the in-game Global Trade Station before (just for the knowledge of how to use it).
2. Make sure you have a working connection, then visit your game's title menu (the one with the continue button).
3. Now click "Nintendo WFC Settings", and then the nice blue button on the left.
4. Then, click "Ready" on the connection you use to connect to the internet from your DS normally.
5. This brings up the "Edit Settings" page for that connection. Scroll down, and change "Auto-obtain DNS" to "No".
6. Your Primary DNS and Secondary DNS are now editable. Edit them to the values shown below (they're the same).
7. Do a connection test by pressing "Test Connection" at the top right. It should give you a "Connection Successful".
8. Save the settings (remember to press the button), and go into your game.
9. Enter into the GTS as normal.
10. You should then be connected to The Global Terminal instead of the original Nintendo GTS.

Once you're done with whatever you need to do, simply go out, change "Auto-obtain DNS" to Yes, and save. Your connection should then be back to normal.

Hmm.. Easy, huh! Anyways, once you establish a connection to The Global Terminal, then what you do next depends on which service you want.

Below are the DNS Settings for The Global Terminal.

• For Section 1 (4th Gen DPPtHGSS)
Checking your Pokemon's SID, Legality, and Data. Cloning for DP.

The DNS Server settings should read :

Primary DNS : 119.234.15.33
Secondary DNS : 119.234.15.33

• For Section 1 (5th Gen BW)
Checking your Pokemon's SID, Legality, and Data.

The DNS Server settings should read :

Primary DNS : 119.234.15.33
Secondary DNS : 119.234.15.33

• For Section 2 (4th Gen DPPtHGSS)
Free Pokemon! Just connect and grab!

The DNS Server settings should read :

Primary DNS : 119.234.3.33
Secondary DNS : 119.234.3.33

• For Section 2 (5th Gen BW)
Free Pokemon! Just connect and grab!

The DNS Server settings should read :

Primary DNS : 119.234.3.33
Secondary DNS : 119.234.3.33

Please change your DNS back once you are done using The Global Terminal. Using any other features in-game outside of the GTS such as trading with others will be blocked.

~SECTION 1~
Checking your SID, Pokemon's Legitimacy and Data, Cloning
Currently active

How this works is exactly the same as the how the Global Trade Station in-game works. Just deposit a Pokemon, and I shall receive it.

Please note that depositing a Pokemon into the in-game GTS will result in an error message saying that the Pokemon could not be offered for trade. This is done in order to save time, and to skip the depositing and returning sequences. The Pokemon HAS been deposited, you do not have to try again!

Hack Checks are now available for 5th Gen Games.

Check Pokemon's Secret ID

Need your SID? Catch a Pokemon in the game you want to find the SID from, then deposit this Pokemon into the The Global Terminal. After doing so, post here the Pokemon Species, Level, and Gender. I will then reply with your SID.

Check Pokemon's Legality/Legitimacy/Data

Wondering if that Pokemon you received from.. Wherever.. Is hacked? Or simply want to find it's EVs or IVs? Take that Pokemon and simply deposit it into the The Global Terminal. After doing so, post your Pokemon Species, Level, and Gender. Tell me what part of the Pokemon you are checking for. I will then reply with the results of the Pokemon. If you have any questions on my reply, feel free to PM me. Please also note that if you are checking an event Pokemon, please state what event it is from, and if it's shiny. [b]Please also refer to the "Checking Information" section at the bottom of this post for more details.

Cloning (DP only)

Don't have an Action Replay? No cloner around? No worries! Introducing... The EXTREMELY slow but safe cloning method! This method ONLY works for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Other versions are not supported. First, deposit your Pokemon for cloning in the Nintendo GTS. Go out, and swap your DNS Settings to the The Global Terminal . Enter into The Global Terminal, and an error message should appear "<PKM NAME> was not traded". Now exit The Global Terminal. You should have one copy of the Pokemon in your PC Box. Now, change your DNS settings back to the Nintendo GTS. Enter into the Nintendo GTS and receive your Pokemon back. You now have a copies of your Pokemon. Please ensure that the The Global Terminal is ONLINE before attempting this.

Convert Pokemon to .pkm file(s)

Want to backup your Pokemon to your computer? Or want to trade with people who only trade via Pokemon files? If you do not have the capabilities of extracting your save file and your Pokemon from your cartridge, no worries. You can now upload your Pokemon to the The Global Terminal and have the .pkm files sent to you! Simply upload the Pokemon you wish to convert and PM me with your Pokemon details and email.

Extra Notes ~ Checker Server

Due to certain people starting to use this service to check if their own hacks pass a hack test, I will no longer state the reason of a hacked Pokemon unless absolutely necessary.

Please note that if I pass a Pokemon, and if anyone has strong, reliable reason(s) to believe that the Pokemon is hacked instead, please PM me as soon as possible. HELPFUL and CONTRIBUTIVE help from the community is always welcome.

When submitting a Pokemon for checking, please try and use the following (non compulsory) templates. It helps me to keep track of the Pokemon you are submitting and aid the checking process.

Wanted to get an Event Pokemon, but you just aren't free? Just aren't in the same country? Missed the event? Or just simply lazy to go to it? No worries!

After editing your DNS Settings, connect to The Global Terminal. When you first connect, a Pokemon "trade" will automatically start and the distributed Pokemon will be downloaded to your game. On subsequent visits, the download may not automatically start. You then have to click on "Summary", and "Take Back" the Pokemon.

When you want to use this feature, please make sure that YOUR PARTY IS FULL. This then makes the downloaded Pokemon go to your PC Box, which I assure you is better.

When this system is in effect, there will be 2 or more Pokemon being distributed at the same time. The distributed Pokemon are posted above. Upon connecting, you will receive one of the above RANDOMLY. You may keep going back in to try for another Pokemon or more of whatever you received.

Are you receiving connection errors after receiving a Pokemon? Don't worry. The disconnect happens after the saving process, so the Pokemon should already be safely in your PC Box. If you, however, want the disconnects to stop, connect to the OFFICIAL GTS once, deposit a Pokemon and take it back. You should no longer experience the connection error message.

If you finish receiving your Pokemon and you see "Deposit", please do NOT deposit any Pokemon as the Pokemon will be lost forever. D:

~Frequently Asked Questions~
Because we all know there must be bugs to something this huge...

>General FAQ<

• Can I use the Nintendo WiFi Adapter to connect?
Unfortunately, no. The WiFi Adapter does not allow you to set DNS Settings.

• I get a "Connection Unsuccessful" during the Test Connection!
If you get a "Connection Unsuccessful" during the Test Connection after inputting my DNS Servers, then most likely the server is down at the moment. Send me a PM if this happens.

• Can we trade with others using this system?
No, there is no support for communications with other players. And no, I don't intend on working on that field.

• How much does it cost to maintain this system?
It costs approximately 28 USD a month to keep The Global Terminal running.

• Oh manz dis system is lyke, so kewl! Hao do you do eet?
Sorry, I will not reveal how this system works or how do to it.

>Section 1 FAQ<

• Can my Pokemon be deleted when I deposit it for Legitimacy Testing?
Technically, yes, there's always that risk. But don't worry, no one has ever lost their Pokemon there before. In any case, I should be able to recover ANY Pokemon that crosses my server.

• What if my Pokemon was deposited, and I can't get it back?
If you deposited a Pokemon into the The Global Terminal, and the server was unable to reject your Pokemon and then died making you unable to take back the Pokemon, change your DNS settings back to the original settings and connect to the Nintendo Official GTS. You should get an error message and your missing Pokemon should appear either in your party or your box.

• What are the risks of cloning using this system?
Unlike the usual Diamond/Pearl cloning method of turning off your DS during the transfer, this one is secure as there is practically no chance of a data loss. Even if your Pokemon somehow gets traded on the Nintendo GTS during this process, the next step after depositing your Pokemon into the Nintendo GTS in which you gain a copy by connecting to The Global Terminal makes sure that there is always one copy present.

>Section 2 FAQ<

• Can I receive more than 1 of them?
Of course.

• When I download more than 1 of the Pokemon, are they the same?
Yes, they are clones.

• I get a BSOD after receiving my Pokemon!
If you get a "Blue Screen of Death", or simply BSOD after receiving a Pokemon on the The Global Terminal, it is perfectly normal. The Pokemon data should have been sent to where it should be already. This can be fixed, more details under Section 2.

• Can the disconnects corrupt my game?
Everything has a risk to it. However, I have tested this system with many others already. The worst that has happened is the save file going corrupt, but the previous save was loaded.

• My screen becomes some flashing mess when I connect!
Try 2 more times. If this problem persists, it doesn't work for your game. Not sure why.

• Can I request for a certain Pokemon to be distributed?
No. And I will ignore you if you ask. If I need suggestions, I will allow people to suggest Pokemon for distribution, however.

~Pokemon Checking Info~
Pokemon I can't check and other information

• Main information
The Global Terminal follows the definition of Legit, Legal, and Hacked as set by Tsath/PP, where Legit Pokemon are created without the use of external devices and are also able to exist naturally in-game, where Legal Pokemon are able to exist naturally in-game without the use of external devices, and where Hacked Pokemon are not able to exist naturally in-game without the use of external devices. {Legit Pokemon are a subset of Legit Pokemon}

• PKMDB
PKMDB refers to a group/site which hosts various Pokemon Event files for free downloads. Their Pokemon are completely Legal and there has been no concrete evidence to show that the events are hacked. Some forums may frown upon PKMDB Pokemon and may classify them as hacked, but The Global Terminal will pass them.

• Results Legend
Legit (+Reason): The Pokemon has come from a trustworthy source and is DEFINITELY legitimate.
Appears to be legit: The Pokemon passes all my checks, and raises no suspicion.
Hacked Pokemon: The Pokemon is DEFINITELY hacked.
(Other result): Will be stated when applicable.
PKMDB: This Pokemon originates from PKMDB.

• Hall of Origin Arceus
The Hall of Origin Arceus cannot exist naturally in-game without the use of an external device/application to activate the event, since the event never officially occurred. The Global Terminal thus classifies all Hall of Origin Arceus as hacked. Other sites/members may consider them "semi-legit" or other, however.

• Hatched Pokemon
I am unable to accurately check hatched Pokemon for hacks. If you submit a hatched Pokemon to me, please note that I may not be 100% accurate.

• Uncheckable Pokemon Events [3rd Gen]
I am unable to accurately check
-PCNY
-GCEA
-PCJP04
-Pokemon Channel
-Wish
-PalParked to HGSS (Usually involves Pokemon >2010)
Try not to submit these to me.

• Uncheckable Pokemon Events [4th Gen]
I am unable to accurately check
-Daisuki Club (Magikarp(s) + Kyocera)
-GTS 07/09
-Pokewalker
Try not to submit these to me.

• Pokemon Events with Ribbons [4th Gen]
You may have noticed that you cannot upload Events with the Classic Ribbon to the GTS, be it the official Nintendo GTS or mine. I will not trade with you to check those because it is simply too time consuming for me. Do NOT PM me to ask if you can trade your Event with a Classic Ribbon to me so I can check it. Only exceptions would be when it is a very new event, or if a result is actually critical (perhaps some life-and-death situation or potential scamming incidents).

• Possible Shiny Events [3rd Gen]
Listed are possible Shiny Events from GBA. If your Pokemon is not listed below and is Shiny, it is most likely a hack.
-Faraway Island Mew (Emerald) (Japanese only)
-Birth Island Deoxys (FireRed/LeafGreen) (English and Japanese only)
-Eon Island Latias (Ruby/Emerald) (English and Japanese only)
-Eon Island Latios (Sapphire/Emerald) (English and Japanese only)
-Roaming Lati@s (Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald) (English and Japanese only)
-Ho-Oh (FireRed/LeafGreen/Emerald) (English and Japanese only)
-Lugia (FireRed/LeafGreen/Emerald) (English and Japanese only)
-WISHMKR Jirachi
-CHANNEL Jirachi

• Shiny Events [4th Gen]
ONLY Pokemon that were preset to be Shiny can be shiny. Events that are not supposed to be shiny will NOT and NEVER be Shiny.

• THESE 3rd Gen EVENTS CANNOT BE SHINY. STOP ASKING.
10 ANIV (All variants, including SPACE C)
MYSTRY Mew
Aura Mew
Ageto Celebi
Hadou Mew

• Do not use The Global Terminal to test your hacks
Do not upload a Pokemon you have hacked or know with absolute certainty is hacked, to test me or for whatever other reason.

~Error Codes~
Do... Not... Compute...

• 13266 (In-game)
"That Pokémon may not be offered for trade!" is the confirmation that your Pokemon has been deposited into the Checker Server. If you do not get this message, your Pokemon has not been deposited into The Global Terminal.

• 13267 (In-game)
Your Pokemon is hacked.

• 13275
This is a problem on Nintendo's side. Their servers may be too busy. Simply try again later.

• 52000, 52001, 52002
There's a problem with your own WiFi Settings. Recreate your network settings on the DS.

• 52100, 52101, 52102
My server is either facing heavy load or decided to go boom. If it doesn't resolve after awhile, it's dead and I'll have to manually restart them.

• 52003, 52103
No support will be provided for these error codes, which only apply to users of the Nintendo WiFi USB Adapter.

• 61010-61090
Are you using a 4th Gen DNS on a 5th Gen game, or a 5th Gen DNS on a 4th Gen game? If NOT, the server is probably just lagging.

I see you got to this first, RoC. I'm posting mine, but yours looks much better.

Only two differences is, I accept hacked Pokemon, but this one also works with B/W/ But mine will be soon, as well.

God, this looks professional. I'm gonna be working on mine though, if anyone wants to take a look.

Lol, I've been running this server since May 2010.

It would look more professional, but I had to remove quite a bit of stuff due to the advertising rules here Tongue

Not received. Did you get the "Pokemon could not be traded" reject message? That's the confirmation that it has been uploaded to me.

LOL For some reason, if you can get the fourth generation Pokemon, but with black and white pokemon just not connecting with the code you stop there, is wrong or is off the server, I can never connect to the DNS of the fifth generation.
