Things NOT to do in a horror flick.

You're walking down a dimly lit corridor. A lamp flickers in and out quickly illuminating several creepily lit doors. You assure your entourage trailing behind you that in fact there was a logical explanation for that pterodactyl tooth in that man's skull. I mean, hell, it could have been a very large possum or a chandelier. Your eyesight is drawn to a door at the end of a hallway, it's moving back and forth. You tell yourself and the others that it is just the wind. Totally just the 5000 feet underground wind. It's definitely not the result of the indian burial ground you burnt just days ago. You push open the creaky door. A girl is crying in the corner. She's probably just lost. 5000 feet underground. You walk up to her, shake her shoulder. She doesn't move. She's probably just sleeping. You shake harder. She wakes up and says gibberish in a monotone. That's cool she probably just has turrets or something. Right? Right. You look behind yourself noticing you can't hear them anymore. They are gone. You tell yourself it's ok, they probably had to pee. At the same time. You turn back, the girl is standing in front of you, carrying an axe.....

You get the point. In this thread I want you to share what NOT to do in a horror flick, in case one of us gets stuck in a cliche.

Never walk through somewhere that leads to somewhere you don't know. Just turn back and walk away, or call the police if you cannot leave.

Never just "assume". I you know someone is there do NOT go unequipped.

Usually when it comes to horror movies, the creature will find you by sensing fear. All a person needs is the power of will, which is basically what tells them "you can do it". You can overcome the fear and tear this monster up. Don't escape it, that's just asking for it to haunt you until death.

Never take out your Ipod and make them get rick-rolled. xD icouldntresist

Never split up. Also never say "I'll catch up, I just have to check this out."

Never tell him"Hey nice axe!"

If the phone rings, don't pick it up. And if you do, run. Fast.
Or surround yourself with people, and hide out in a crowd. Just never be alone.

If you have been drinking at a frat party and see a scary, haunted house as you drive past with a couple of friends, don't egg everyone on to go and investigate the place.

Also, if found in a Saw trap, don't hesitate, do what Jigglez says.

Never use a lamp or a lantern, always use a torch!

Don't go anywhere with attractive people. Chances are, you'll end up getting it on and find yourself dead.

Never talk to small children, they are always either possessed, they are ghosts who want to kill you or are messengers with the ominous phrase "they're here" or like in Children of the Corn "We want to play with you"

Never talk to supicious old men--they're always plotting to take down us younger people. They'll pull you into their house and slowly kill you with poison. Do NOT go near the innocent looking old man!

never ever talk to a freaking scientist they could kill you with a hacksaw & their experiment!!!

Run toward the killer or monster.
